Ryan, you were right - there's a reason the lines are short on Outback. Scraped off sugar and ice, oh boy

Lest ye forget, there is someone awaiting you heathens that are planning a trek to Mecca without a fresh 1/3 and your rosary beads.

Crippled but free, I was blind all the time, I was learning to 'ski'.

"Abandon hope all ye who enter here" would be appropriate given the conditions on that side of the mountain right now.

Brilliant, so the 2 skiers who don't want to ride with those 2 snowboarders and the guy who waits behind for his buds and the kids who forget where their pass is and the rest of the beaters who otherwise don't make it into a group can continue loading 1-3 people per chair during peak times.

Of course when lifties are actively working the line with loud volume and authority ( you know who you are and we salute you), chairs get loaded, but it seems like that's a work in progress depending on the day and the lift.

All that said, it is interesting to me how empty the slopes can be at MHM for how busy the lift lines can be. So bring on the 8 pack.

In other news, nuke fest this weekend. Saturday might toe the line in terms of snow density, but I ain't complainin'! Bring a shovel.

2019-20 - Oregon - it never snows here and when it does, it sucks

Mt Hood sastrugi factory is producing at maximum output. Be careful ye who enter the off piste to poach a fresh turn this weekend. The groomers are nice today though!

Alpy on Thursday then off to JH this weekend so I’ll be leaving the mhm shit show for an ikonic shit show.

Only psia level 25 certified with jonesy approved technique could carve through that stuff. I’ll stick to corduroy!

I may have to "Spring" for a Bachy spring pass this year.

Speaking of, when is the Bachy mini?

Pick a weekend. Let’s include a Friday and/or a Monday so the midweek pass crowd can attend.

^ I need to make it down there sooner rather than later. Dude won one of those Bachelor 2 of 3 tickets at a TGR premiere and gifted it to me. No blackouts after Sunday. Kinda shooting for the end of this month potentially mid week to maximize my ski time. Gotta keep my promise and shred Bachelor for the dude.

Doing my best to keep a cars off the road this weekend and I got permission to work Saturday. Boss says I have to get out there and join the hoards Sunday and Monday though

The late arrival of today’s storm made for nice soft warm bluebird skiing at Hoodoo, up until clouds socked in at 1 and then things refroze and crusted over between 3 and 4 pm ... groomed was holding up well through the evening though.

Did a quick Cone lap before work. Got rimed pretty good going up. Hopefully that changes as the day progresses.

Spent the eve at meadows. Started snowing and blowing around 4. Tomorrow is morning is going to be primo, if you can stomach the crowds.
