dentists and debtors' roll call for Sahale early ups tomorrow?

I imagine 3-D, O-ring, and rock garden will be hit hard, and that they'll ski well if the the storm delivers and they can get the lift open at 8am.

I have no other reason to go that early (much easier to leave here at noon, ski in the PM and spend the night due to other shit going on). But if MHM mags will be representing, I might be swayed.

Looks like it's up in the air now due to conditions.

They say "unlikely," but they will still prep the lift and do the early load if winds allow.

2019-20 - Oregon - it never snows here and when it does, it sucks

Creamed (rain induced) corn and breakable crust at WP today, leading to fine spring mank at the end of the day and then refreezing skin just as lifts shut down. Lots of tree branches and a few trees down from the ice. Exciting ice bombs falling out under midday warmth. 40F on the lower mountain and probably hi 30’s up top ... sunny. This was all on south facing ... north facing was bulletproof. The corn was super fun from like 1030 to 3, mostly overripe to very overripe from 130 until refreezing at the end of the day.

I’m anticipating craptacular dust on crust tomorrow ...

Rolling up to hrm, meeting some friends at 745 by the heather runout. Gonna spin a few laps on hrm, see what the snow is doing, then punch out for a short tour to avoid the inevitable cluster fuck. Anybody else going up?

Gonna head up this afternoon. Not enough certainty on the early up deal but it looks like it might be a great morning. We'll be there from early pm to tomorrow. Lots of beer in the camper.

Well today was a bust. Hopeful that one of these days Mr Snow shows up to the party without Mr Gale Force Wind.

Awesome day, surprisingly high snow quality. Came in at just the right temps, well bonded to the rain crust. Ullr couldn’t decide if he wanted to give us bluebird or zero viz storm skiing. Skinned a few laps from 830-12 then hit HRM for a few. Apocalyptic winds on the ridge tops! Tomorrow will be good.

Interesting day at Bachelor. Very windy in the morning. Got one run in on the Red chair. Then everything went on wind hold for about an hour. Then Red fired back up again and got some runs with about 4" or so of wind blown on top of refrozen groomers. Bullet proof ice on the ridges made for some interesting turns.

Highlight of the day was a few Cone laps. Could feel the crust underneath ever so slightly. But snow was nice and light.

Deep and light. Everything was rumored to be on wind hold so I opted for turns in the trees off off of PG. Muy excelente.Click image for larger version.

    Oh shit, the Hodag?

We had plenty of snow up at Timberline. Some fools were even getting their cars buried in the parking lot this morning.
