Snain stopped about 7am at MHM. By 9:30 it was bluebird. Low crowd level on the hill today. Ski on was the norm at Star, MEX, HRM. Once the sun had a chance to hit South facing slopes it skied well. Lots of breakable crust in areas the sun didn't hit. I'm not ready for Spring like conditions, bring back the pow. Monday should be good.

Surprisingly nice this morning. Got a late start this AM and ended up in sunrise, but was to the top of MHE at 9:30. Coulda been worse.

Actually saw the sun for a couple hours there and the sun softened stiff skied pretty well. Lots of fast groomers as well.

Bailed around noon when it got windy and the snow flurries started. Everything was refreezing and visibility wasn’t great.

Was there for the morning as well...

Kinda grabby & wind-affected off-piste until it got broken up by skier traffic.

That's more traffic than there was this weekend. Left at 3pm and was home at 443pm. (Always stop for cheap, high speed diesel in Boring too). Unheard of.

Got some fun turns with K2skier112
Ski-on lifts all day — so pleasant to not have to compete for turns!
Heather opened around 9.30 and we just lapped that until our legs had enough
Already 4” on telemetry since 1p...should be good tomorrow
I imagine Heather & PR will go

Good times were had with the bachelor crew. It's nice when there's no crowds.

How's the coverage back there? I only had one late lap back there last Tuesday and things looked ok. I'm guessing the accumulation has improved things, yes?

Coverage is good. The r**n event didn’t wash stuff away; just compacted it, best I can tell.

It was firm/crusty below the 5” of new. So, tonight’s accumulation should only benefit the experience.

Jacks skied well. We didn’t get into PR.

Timberline was fun this morning. Deep and soft, but wet and manky. Really glad I brought out the Cease & Desist’s today. I’m dying to try my new Wildcat 108’s but today really was a Billygoat or C&D kinda morning.

Great morning at MHM... couldn’t find the rain crust for the most part, it was buried deep. Smooth skiing where it was untracked but set up fast once things got tracked up. Fargin deep skiing in AbsoluteMagnitude, Jacks, PR/S&R. Get some while you can!

MHM certainly delivered today. Everyone just disappeared around 11. Skied right on to the heather and star chairs all afternoon. The am Chinese downhill packed down the mank and the result was surprisingly good once it started dumping and blowing again!

My quads still remember how much you like it.

Pineapple laps on Saturday, pow laps on Sunday. We'll be there.

Good skiing today. Empty slopes, sunny day, no wind. I was expecting an icy mess after the late afternoon wetness yesterday and an overnight temp in the 20s, but it wasn't. All the North aspect stuff skied fresh.

Snowbanks are bigger here than in Tahoe these days. That’s a good sign.

Summit wasn’t loading yet so I took a couple laps on Northwest. Snow was a mix of chunk & funk. Just ok.

Line was forming at Summit and not wanting to wait I headed for Cloud Chaser. Winds were blowing with wind buff conditions. Good skiing.

Run of the day on my 2nd lap out to Cows Face. No one around. Someone said today was the 1st time this season you could ski off the top in an direction. If that’s true my timing was perfect.

    ^^^Welcome to Central OR
Rumors are true. Summit was open one day before, but confined to a much smaller area and snow was way worse.

    Glad you got some.
