Line was never longer than 3 or 4 minutes yesterday. Pretty sure skiing that chair with 9 " sounds like a whole lot of getting stuck. I would be trying to sneak into heather canyon if i was itching to ski some pow

That would be a long sneak in, and an even longer sneak out.

Timberline's whole site is down - seems more like it got botted and took down their website with requests...

Pro Tip.... a ski reservation is included in a lodge reservation. Get a room and you get your runs....

These trails would cross the stream bed and ride up on one side of the ravine and then drop right back down across the ravine again and again and again like riding a half pipe.

Since I have been told that tearing up stream beds is bad for the fish that live down stream, I have to wonder at the placement of these trails. Any experienced hydrologists out there want to educate me about the impact (or lack there of) when you run bike trails all over these intermittent water courses. Is it OK if there is no water in the ravine? I really am curious about this.
Still waiting for a knowledgeable answer... Bump

My confirmation also says 2:01. I also got in the very first day which was an amazing mental health day for me. I tried a bunch of other days and I've been too slow. Stoked to get back up tomorrow

That blows. I wonder if "climbers" were hanging out and partying in the lot.

After the lift stopped spinning at Meadows, huge groups of dumbasses were just hanging out and partying in the lots. Lots were closed and roads barricaded a few days later.

It seems as if some people (fuckwits) are done with distancing. I was well off trail yesterday when a group of 8 climbers appeared out of nowhere and surrounded me at a distance of 3 or so feet. They were following my tracks and were lost. I asked them to step back and directed them to some blazes they could follow. They acted pissy at my request and wandered off into the woods going the wrong direction, into a sea of blowdown. 30 min later I heard them arguing as they circled back to that same spot. Seemed like a SAR call-out in the making.

If people don't follow the rules they are going to get these closures extended and road blocks reinstalled. Fuck.
