If you come up shoot me a text, I'll be arriving between 9-10 and skiing for a couple hours. K2Skier is there and an out of towner (leftyt) is skiing up there today. Planning to meet up with them and I'm sure you could join the party. I'm also thinking of late afternoon/night skiing tomorrow - maybe that's a better option for you?

I'll be headed down to MHM from Seattle area saturday morning, and then onto hoodoo for sunday. Super happy this storm cycle has filled everything in here in the PNW.

Advice for MHM on Saturday: get there early for a reasonable parking spot. There was a 10 minute lineup last Saturday for me to get in the lot at 745...

Is that the new normal, or was that because of the powder starved hordes finally getting some good conditions?

I get the sense that’s the norm for storm days up there ... don’t get to Hoodoo at 745, the lot might not be plowed Lol!

830 is plenty of time to get a good parking spot, buy your ticket, and still make 2nd chair

And HRM lot FTW. Unless you need to go to the main lodge specifically.

If I do a mid-week trip, it will be Thursday I think, but if I can do tomorrow, I'll hit you up. Sat/Sun/Mon for sure.

Edit: just looking at shit nuking on cams right now. If that keeps up through 4pm, maybe tomorrow has to be the day.

Looking good! Glad that some of you are getting after it while the getting is good. Rumors of the FL rising to 5k on Wednesday afternoon is putting my Thursday plans into question.

Regarding these heather rumors, has anyone heard any control work going on? I haven't been up since sunday night, but I would guess that viz into the canyon has been nil for the past couple of days, right?

For good measure, make sure you ask every liftie and patroller that you come across about when heather and cascade will open. Maybe slip them a fiver to grease the wheels while you are at it.

Wish I could get out to harvest some of these goods. There was a time where I just made it happen. Now, not so much. I look forward to the long weekend where I get my turns in and WILL find some fresh!!!

God dayyyuumm. That was definitely in the top 5 lift served ski days I’ve had anywhere, likely top 3. Can’t think of many days where I’m getting lap after lap of untracked thigh deep face shots. Snow density more like the Tetons than the PNW... still nuking when I left at 330.

Great skiing with k2, leftyt, his brother, and bobcat sig for a couple laps.

Hit up the usual deep haunts and they were deeper than normal. Got in 5 or 6? laps in jacks woods I think. First two were untracked top to bottom. Lots of blind turns and choking on pow.

Knee was tested hard. Pics in Fright trees. Heather dropped. I kept saying 2 more runs for 2 hours. Epic

Add- I went today instead of Monday expecting less snow to not be tempted to ski deep powder and do something silly oh well...

Haha dude you were like a broken record and it was cracking me up. “My knees kind of tired, I don’t want to push it. Heading in.”

Heather drops and all bets are off. I’m still laughing about this - you said you were done after every lap.

It was a pleasure! Great to show someone new around, plus have epic conditions. Heather opening was icing on the cake. Telling me Heather was open and not dropping is like telling Charlie Sheen free hookers and blow and having him pass...

Bachelor is decent. It's just flat. Did get a few faceshots in. New on top of groom, sweet for arch to arch turns.
