Legs are tired, in the stube grabbing a beer and food.
Lucknau randomly called out SirVic and skied a few laps with him. Fun day!!!
Burst shot of SirVic going for it and showing us how it’s done:
Turns out on3p bases are not indestructible... sorry BGs! Vic got a baby core shot too. Who’s core shot is bigger?

MtB got SRX and Rainbow open today
Snow was less like Fortrees women (wet&heavy down low, lite&fluffy up top) and more like Booner’s women (thicc throughout).
Still fun

That was a good time today. Glad I ran into you guys.
Looked like some more dense clouds rolling in toward the end of the day.

I didn't get to spend enough time with you at bbi last year, SVS. My mind wants to remember you as Ray Jackson from Bloodsport. Need to spend more time this year so I can either confirm that you are the Ray Jackson of skiing or form a new more accurate memory. Either way, please, at some point, ask me "what the hell is a dim mak?"

How’d the snow hold up at mhm today? Wanted to pop up for a bit but the rear brakes started grinding and spent the afternoon replacing them...

Nice first dya of lift served at Bachy. Got crowded late morning. Good time for some human powered accessed snow.

The storm cycle last week definitely underdelivered to forecast on the central passes ... I'm sorry to report that the snow coverage there is still pretty piss poor (Mt B doesn't count, bottom of PMX is a good 1600' above Santiam Pass). Obviously, the webcams show this.
From a waxless / XC standpoint, Ray Benson has just enough snow to be skiable with some adventure sidestepping over logs rocks and swamps ... it must have really warmed up over the last 2 weeks because there is still unfrozen swamp water running on top of a lot of the logging roads to the area. South Loop had just enough snow to be skiable. Hoodoo still has lots of reeds and manzanita poking through everything.
Willamette looked like it's doing even worse.
I'm gonna go ahead and give myself the anti-jinx now and just expect rain at pass levels when this next system (AR) hits at the end of the week._______________________________________________
