2019-20 - Oregon - it never snows here and when it does, it sucks

Report from Hood is that it’s nuking...friend texted that it feels more like 10” than 4”
And I stayed home to meet someone who may be exposed to corona virus

Bachelor was skiing nice for the 1" overnight. Not crowded at all. Off and on nukage.

Yup it skied deeper than 1”. Alternating sun breaks and vigorous shaking of the snow globe. Good to see Teh Poacher and hang with his crew for a bit.

Toadman - did you hike the cone? Not that anyone cares...

Agreed, this suit is ridiculous. At that point, might as well just forbid anyone to ride off-piste below tree line.

I did, but had a some folks up top asking me where my bib # was. Some kind of vert event going off. I guess I took first place, but I took a short cut by using the Red Chair.

I've been able to spot the shy, sneaky tree well. Some seem to need a little extra help tho...For those peeps, the "invisible" ice will be a bit tougher for them

    Blue sky day at Bachelor.

First time this season for me up Summit Chair

Looks can be deceiving. There were pockets of blue ice lurking underneath

It was a good weekend with great weather, that is all I have to say. Shocked that MHM was pretty much empty on Saturday.
Here’s a couple boring pics that sum it all up.

Not sure I would call these sharks, maybe a school of sharks. But there were some folks that were "stuck" on some big blue sheets of ice yesterday, or taken for a ride. Especially snowboarders. I over heard one conversation where a female skier was stuck in no mans land on a sheet of ice, husband tried to go out and get her, and he single ejected and went for a long slide. But as skiers in the know are fond of saying, "There was plenty of powder to be found, if you knew where to look."

Feeling like a pussy bailing this morning from a cold trying to make a comeback. After seeing what lifts are open, not feeling bad about bailing...

Everything else on wind hold. Oh, the carpet's open for those afraid of heights and invisible ice

I got one too...all gone already!

a triple is going to be bulky bringing home -- not going to fit in the pickup bed, i don't think.

Any info out on the actual chair dimensions yet?

Not yet, but my wife is going to inquire while she’s at work. Will PM you w/ the details if I get them. Glad my neighbor got his trailer back from his buddy! Gonna need to borrow it!

    Large x Large x Heavy!

My Riblet and Yan doubles required 2 to move them. I can move the Riblet by myself, sorta. I bet a triple weighs 200 lbs
