Another wonderful day at Mt B with jonesy and 2000 of our closest friends.
1/2" of light on top of a firm 24" of isothermal base. Nicely refrozen crud off the groom, along with all kinds of "features". Hit a couple of rocks but with wrens the rocks got the worst of it.
"Dude, the snow is getting sticky. Ya gotta surf the wave."

2019-20 - Oregon - it never snows here and when it does, it sucks
Didn’t see captain America up our way, but did have a nice little lunch session in mattig’s rig. Enjoyed some venison sausage from a Bambi that he apparently killed himself. Tasty as shit.
Subsequently put on skins and tried to climb up Clark creek to some NE facing terrain. Lots of sketchy Creek crossings and a late start shut us down. Snow bridges are good to go for the first 1/2 mile-3/4 mile or so, but get worse after that. Time consuming. At least I got in some walking!

Thanks TBS, yes it’s clear that the coral reef is more concerning than shark bites with that refreeze, so I brought the crud rippers. We should be on the hill Monday and Tuesday ... depending on how my 1 year old handles being stuck in West Lodge all morning w/ Grandma ...
Even with mine and the wife’s pairs each of waxless touring skis and resort skis (double boots each as well), and baby gear (holy shit don’t get me started on how much crap we hauled), folding dog crate, assload of beer and wine and xmas presents ... I guess another pair of skis might have fit up in the cargo box, but F me if I totally wasn’t well over packing any more shit in our ‘mobile!
Hopefully I won’t be having this conversation on all subsequent trips and it will be the Praxis GPO’s or Prior snowboard until corn season!_______________________________________________
"Strapping myself to a sitski built with 30lb of metal and fibreglass then trying to water ski in it sounds like a stupid idea to me.
I'll be there." ... Andy Campbell

Not much of a base for heavy ski traffic.
Pine & Cloud went down, typical for Bachelor on the biggest ski vacation.

Xmas morning dawned foggy as fuck. Showed up to a couple of early risers cooking brekkie
Got a skiff of fresh last night.
Conditions ranged from this
to total whiteout, can't see shit in front of you foggy
Bony sections remain on CC. Wrens crushed another rock with nary a scratch.
Entrance to Carnival -> CC from top of SRX is spicy, and gonna remain that way until more snow falls.
Basically ski-on laps until 1045, when the Touron horde showed up. Got pretty fucking scary after that.
Happy Holidays ya derelicts
