I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Baldy from my neighborhood this morning. Another foot refresh coming this week and another couple casual feet up to Mammoth. Good times!

Toured up to 11,250' in the SB's on 3/25 with partner Ethan. Lots of snow.

Word on the kooky SoCal Ski & Snowboarding Facebook group is that Jeremy Jones was at Baldy yesterday — now that’s gotta be the most unexpected crossover event of the winter! You know it’s good down here when the pros head south

Apparently him and Ming Poon and others hit Telegraph chutes (there’s even a video of Jeremy charging it) and Baldy Bowl. So rad!

Looks amazing in the SanG, can't wait to get out there this Spring. What's the recent snow line in the SanG's? Which parking lot did you head out of?

The conditions update won't be relevant past today with the new storm rolling through, but Baldy Resort was great today. Interesting note for weekday lift operations, that I assume will be standard: Chair 4 runs in the morning until between 12-1, Chair 3 starts spinning as Chair 4 is winding down for the day. Groomed runs on 3 were great, best snow was Holumac in the morning/early afternoon but then Chair 4 stopped. Bentley's later in the day was great. Huge base on Thunder Mountain should be great through April.

    Chair 3 waiting to open

    Thanks for the pics guys!

We will hopefully be at Baldy Friday afternoon if all goes well. Let's hope this storm produces!

I'm eyeing a tour on Friday and wondering if anyone wants to link up? It's off of 38, south of San Gorgonio.

I've never been to this exact zone before, only spied from the top of San Gorgonio. It will be an exploratory day with a few options for descent depending on conditions....

    PM me if interested

Radar has been looking good, hopefully just gets cooler.

That is interesting Baldy is only running 4 or 3 on weekdays...hopefully not that way on the weekend. I'm trying to decide about going Baldy ski area Friday or giving them the day to get everything running and going Saturday.

Chair 4 hot pow on Friday could be really really good, that'd be my move! Saturday will be great corn over there but won't be that same untracked feeling (even if it's not really powder by then anyways)

Maybe that particular day they were short staff to run the lifts, but talking with the different lifties it was definitely a planned operation for that day to spin 4 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon. Hopefully Fridays and weekends get full staffing.

unreal, surreal, all of the above! you’d hit the bottom a bit on the more exposed aspects but goldridge, south bowl, tube, and andys working against the fall line a bit, were all bottomless turns. herbs real good just kinda scratchy. still so much pow when we left! and heard 1 was killer all morning too

I never got a day anywhere near as good as these lately while growing up in Upland. We generally looked down on Baldy. Young and dumb. Seeing all this makes me want to roadtrip to SoCal from Tahoe it looks so good!!!

Y’all are having a great season!!

I smartened up to baldy’s radness in the early 90’s. My dad took me there first with some friends followed by friends and I driving up once we had our licenses. Also skied there’s a few times in college. Felt blessed to have “found” it.

Heading up to Baldy ski area today. Probably be on the black super Bros, unless it gets really soft.

Apparently 4 didn’t start spinning until later yesterday, so should be a lotta hero corn / hot pow over there once the likely crust softens up!

Yeah, 4 and 1 were lots of fun. Thunder kind of a transition day. But had some good turns. I like the 9-5 hours.

I took two laps on Mt. San Antonio last Thursday, 3/30. Was very snowy and foggy, I broke trail the entire way up, running into three climbers at the top of the ridge on lap 2. Unfortunately only about 45 minutes total of decent visibility.

Forgive the sideways photos, I cant seem to get them oriented properly. If you know how, please school me on it.
