Dps Phantom 1.0 Base Glide Treatment/ Wax

    2 "A" and 2 "B" treatments included.This is enough for 2 skis or 1 set of skis.

This sale is for only the base treatments

Below are base treatment application instructions from DPS (instructions also available on youtube)

    PHANTOM

Permanent Base Glide Treatment APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

    Tips

Start treating early in the morning on a sunny day. Wear gloves while applying Phantom.

    1. Set up a work-station and an area outside where the skis can cure. Some excess Phantom will drip off, so add protective layer to ground (a good example would be sawhorses on a tarp).

    2. Clean the base of your skis or snowboard.
    BEST - Fresh stonegrind.
BETTER - Off the shelf base cleaner.
GOOD - Use houshold itmes such as hot soapy water or olive oil with a clean rag to clean your bases.

OK - Apply PHANTOM over the top of a waxed base.

    3. Lightly knead packet.

    4. Apply one packet of Part A (use both for snowboard) to the base of each ski. Make sure to only apply between the contact points. Phantom that is poured onto the tips and tails will quickly run off of the ski or snowboard.

    7. Anytime after Part A cures wipe off excess Part A and applyPart B using the same application method in steps 3-5.

    8. Bring skis or snowboard to your outside curing location and let Part B cure under sunlight or direct UV lightfor minimum of 6 hours.

    5. Using the applicator pad spread Phantom Part A on the entire base of the ski or snowboard (tip and tail included). On the first couple of passes use light pressure. Gradually increase the pressure on the pad and use a swirling motion.

    9. After curing wipe off excess Part B. With your skis or snowboard on your work bench use the cork to spread out the phantom. The cork will help level the cured Phantom on the base.

    10. Brush the skis or snowboard.

    6. Bring skis or snowboard to your outside curing location and let Part A cure under sunlight for a minimum of 3 hours.

    11. There may be some slight build-up on the edges. This can be cleaned up with a gummi stone or fine grit sandpaper.

For the first run or two Phantom may feel sticky. It may take a few runs to ski-in a freshly treated ski or snowboard.
