These skis are beautiful. I hate to sell them. Thanks a ton to the gang in the factory for making them; posi vibes to the gang. Negative wood grain, green side walls, green bases.

Iggy confirmed that metal would be a good choice and Iím a big fan of good choices based on needs, like going faster. Thanks Iggy.

I want to say theyíve been skied about 30-35 days. Minor, minor scratches on the base. There is one tiny ding in the top sheet which Iíll upload a photo of when I pull them out the shed. 9/10 condition.

Mounted one time (on the fucking line) at 295bsl for pivot/fks/cast2.0. Sold flat.

You should mount those with tele bindings so I can give you a proper tour of the Bolton bc.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on the size difference and why you're going shorter on these? I'm starting to look for a new low snow whistler ski and wrens have my attention. I know ON3P sizes larger than other brands but my 184 BGs were larger than expected in person

In general I would add 2cm to ON3P sizing when considering tip to tail length. Rocker profile / EE come into play when choosing the length for your size/style/terrain.

I am a telemark skier and ski a lot of east coast trees. When laying down a telemark turn traveling through tight space the 184s felt a bit long for me (often more acceleration than needed). In space - groomer bombing or what not - they are fine. A bit shorter ski adds nimbleness more suited for my terrain so the 179 Wren works more better - for me. I did go 182 w the Woodsman which I havenít skied yet and recall has slightly less ee than the 179 Wren. 182cm is likely my ON3P ceiling length for dedicated east coast use.

I am 5í10 175 and I would stick to a 184 Wren for telemark in bigger terrain. 189 alpine.

You should buy my 184s and rip the shit out of Whistler on them =)

Keep an eye on gear swap. ~20 days on em since this photo but my gear is well loved. Just want to give them a look before posting them up and wonít have them in hand for a few weeks. 9.5/10 I am almost certain. Almost all groomer time as I move to other skis when the woods are in play.

Interested to hear your thoughts on the woodsman. I was looking at those for a daily driver.

Happy to share my reflections once Iíve skied them.
But címon they really arenít some radical design. They are a slightly more forgiving & playful wren that I am sure will be plenty rad. With all due respect, a modest tweak to a proven model. Appear more Wren than Kartel visually.

^very much appreciated, were the same height/weight and that confirmed my thinking that the 184 is probably best for low snow at whistler. I had a lead on some 189s for cheap on local CL but couldn't sort out a deal and probably best given the size.

189s would have been fun in the alpine in spring though....hmmm...

    V, your box is full.

Canít reply to your PM. I read your original post as these were built w metal (custom Ti).

I am reading your latest PM that you are moving these to make room for Ti so they are stock flex non-metal 2018/2019 build? I am now realizing the 2019/2020 production year introduces the Ti and just read it wrong from the start. All blurry eyed and impulsive.

I am fine with either lay up (maybe not Stiff or Aver) so keep my $. While I am metal-curios I am likely more suited to a (non-Ti) stock or tour/soft build given my binding choice.
