I'll post this in Sprocket Rockets too, but I figured I should start here. I'm looking for a used road bike, frame material isn't really that important since my budget will most likely only allow aluminum anyway. I'd like to have Shimano Ultegra or higher level components all around. Frame sizes between 53 and 55 centimeters will fit me, and traditional or compact doesn't matter much to me really.
My top end budget wise is around $1,500. Pedals don't have to be included, but it would be nice. I'm actively searching classifieds and such, but if anyone on here has something that might fit the bill, I'd be interested. Thanks a lot.

Hey, I may have a beat on a brand new Lemond Alp D'Huez(from 2003), sz. 54cm, steel frame, Shimano 105's. It's been at my LBS for awhile and they offered a bro-price on it. Let me know if i should check up on it for you.

that's a stupidly good deal even if you throw the frame away. i've got the new 20spd ultegra and it's very good.
