    wind and waterproof shoe covers?

Not water resistant, wind resistant..... Windproof and Waterproof. I've tried so many different shoe covers, booties etc for the cold and wet PNW bike commutes but have yet to find a truly wind and waterproof solution. I have and use full winter shoes for the truly cold and wet days. But, they are overkill when temps are in the upper 30s and 40s. Full coverage booties suck in my opinion, they are either nightmarish to get on, made of neoprene which just gets waterlogged after 20 minutes, or both. I love my Planet Bike wind proof toe covers for when its chilly and dry, but they also soak through when used in rain.

So, anyone aware of a toe cover, ideally with the heel strap, that is wind and waterproof? I'm tempted to make some by cutting the fronts off some old rubber work boots but I'm sure that will suck. Here's a link to the Planet Bike "Dasher" design for reference. https://www.planetbike.com/store/das...oe-covers.html. thanks!

they ^^ will keep your shoes dry all day IME, there is just a web strap under the sole to keep the upper in place which you might want to slather with AQS before they wear too much

also IME don't bike tour in alaska

    wind and waterproof shoe covers?

Pearl Izumi PRO Barrier WxB shoe covers. Road or Mtn flavor depending on your shoe. On sale on their website now. I’ve used them a lot. Usually overkill for Utah conditions, but I’ve been through some shit with them.

Re read your post. The Amfib toe covers work great too
