Episode 4: apart from the obvious Magnificent Seven did anyone else get a hint of original Star Trek?

    Apparently not HDR

    https://apple.news/AQ3qXoooCRdOYGmSSBTuPTA

YouTube channel HDTVTest is known for doing quality analysis of the HDR implementations in popular media like films, games, and TV shows, and it found that Disney+'s The Mandalorian live-action Star Wars series is the latest in a long line of high-profile content that is just SDR wrapped up in an HDR package. The show has none of the actual benefits of HDR and a number of additional downsides, such that viewers might actually prefer to disable HDR on their TVs when viewing.

Ya, it went all return of the jedi "Ewokey".

teaching the backwoods villagers how to defend themselves is a great western cliche, and I suppose the writers have to build some character development but it was a slow and cheesy episode

That episode was pure filler. that's how these things work though, 1-3 are important and then again for ~8-10. Expect more of the same for a couple. It was still enjoyable, kind of a Three Amigos vibe with the fight scene.
.....I hope you know that this will go down on your permanent record

See also: Seven Samurai and The Magnificent Seven.

I get the filler take, but I think there's a bit more. Character introduction of Cara Dune and what's-her-name villager chick who can shoot for some mysterious reason that I expect we'll learn later.

I think the entire point of the episode was to build sexual tension.

Either he bones with his helmet on or he's never been laid.

She just can't see his face, right? He took his helmet off in front of the kids playing....So he can take it off in which case he just has to bone doggy style (no peaking)

Look out the window at the other chic, dinner in front of you, mask on the windowsill, boning other chick from behind looking at her too.

    Still in the clan. Easy.

The annoyed nerd is strong in this thread. Ep 4 was great. Character development.

Mando barely talked till that episode.

are there licensed baby yoda dolls? i was under the impression that disney skipped on the toys to focus on the story and not giving up spoilers.

yet another reason disney > george despite some persistant complainers.
