Reckless, Are you going post that pic in every Marker and Dynafit and Volkl thread too?
Scientists now have decisive molecular evidence that humans and chimpanzees once had a common momma and that this lineage had previously split from monkeys.

Missed this the first time around.
Looks pretty neat, but there isn't really anything showing how it works. The toe slides forward? Are there heel risers? I guess I could run that German site through Google translate and get a headache, but I'd love to see a video.

Good to see the usual 66%/33%/33%/1% ratio for new binding threads playing out:
66%: Whatever/not relevant/wait and see
33%: I can tell from that blurred Instagram story photo snag that this is a death trap that will never work because I’m a genius engineer in a totally unrelated discipline.
33%: Unlike every fucking other time, THESE guys have totally figured it out and this thing is fucking bulletproof for some totally subjective reason.
1%: Praxis RX.

the retail price in Europe is 499 euros, which is pretty much on the same level as the Salomon Shift. So, I would think that the price point in the States should be somewhat similar to what the Shift costs. Maybe if you contact them directly via the Bavarian Alpine Manifest website they'll be able to send you a pair?
Edit note: someone already posted a link on this thread to the Bergzeit webshop - if they deliver to the States, then that is an easy option to buy and test one.Last edited by JJ-SI; 11-18-2019 at 08:20 AM.

Can't really argue with that. To my defence, I had broken my collarbone in two places mountain biking a month before the visit and had just finished working 3 days at the Outdoor by ISPO fair (first days without the sling). Every time I lifted my right arm to press the shutter button I felt waves of pain in the collarbone..Last edited by JJ-SI; 11-18-2019 at 07:44 AM.

The site will be translated in english shortly.
They're big believers in the turntable heel and didnt want to compromise on that. Finished product as a whole sounds like theyre very pleased. The proto i fondled seemed incredibly dialed. Not sure where they could have improved on that proto. They also focused on having less moving parts. Dont quote me on it but i think they have half the moving parts as a shift.
Figured the tgrz crew would be on to these. Pivots get snapped up like smarties around here. I guess theres a reason why the pivot is , pretty much, the only binding on the WC mogul circuit.
I have a pair on the way. Psyched!!

This looks really appealing for certain applications, and the video does make the operation look smooth and well designed. However, did he say the heel only has 12mm of lateral elasticity? Doesn't the Look turntable heel have like 45mm?
And they are heavy.

Got these today. Not that much plastic, lots of metal. Looks good! Hopefully have time to mount them asap. Now just need to decide will they go on Monster 108 or Ripstick 116.

Damn, I'm interested in finding out how people like these in the real world. I was an early adopter of the shift, but with the pre-release issues, I can't really recommend them in good faith. This looks like a great competitor; similar skiability, metal construction.
Video says 25mm of front elasticity and 12 mm of lateral elasticity in the heel, and then some additional forward elasticity. 1300g is heavy, but I would use this as a resort-oriented binding primarily.
