The lesser of two evils for SkiCo. I don’t like the idea, but i get it from a business trying to operate under COVID

Yeah, as long as it's not a permanent change and we can ride lifts this winter, I'll suck it up for one season. The whining about this will be off the charts, though.

No kidding. But like the man says, it's a big shit-sandwich and we all gotta take a bite.

    I have faith.
Bit of a line at opening today, but roll on at 10:30. Met the new mountain manager. seems nice and she’s out front.

I guess we will just have to see what we get in two months. To your other post below, if SkiCo pushes blackout dates on chamber passes this season, there is no way it will be temporary. Once you give something up and people get used to it...there will be no going back. The comments/line of thinking about skiing during the week, etc. doesn't take into account local families. Kids will hopefully have school, etc. and can't really ski mid week. Also, kids are off school during the holidays...which is why we take our kids skiing during those times.

Good luck this season. It's going to be ugly. I'll skin out 25 miles to avoid Little Texas. Fuck that.

They’ll all be locals next year. Currently most homes under contract (180),ever.

I don’t think skiing will be that bad. Skico’s committed to running Nell’s and Bell. So you’ll never have to stand in a line on Ajax.
Snowmass could have a slight problem getting out of Base Village. I’ve always hated the VX opening on powder days.
Might have to skin up to the Sams Knob chair to avoid the initial frenzy.

Snowmass is mowing and doing lots of trail maintenance. Big Burn six pack is progressing well.

Riding up Ajax at 9 for my annual bday sufferfest.

A little moisture, but not nearly enough, over the Grizzly fire.

FYI I did get an email from my area saying their rentals are booked at record pace. I've already considered donating my pass to some poor soul because it's just not worth it.

The quarry is burnt too based on the way it was treated last season. I won't be there when some person gets someone else killed.

I enjoyed the pleasure of riding my road bike from GWS Subaru (West GWS was apocalyptic this morning) to Valley View to Carbondale and back to GWS Subaru today. Scary down there!

But not as scary as the shot show Indy Pass. I passed about a dozen obviously misguided semi’s I between AABC and Basalt this morning. Whatcha say GR - a few weeks of no Indy Pass?

Maybe I'll finally be able to go get a breakfast burrito from Jour de Fete without standing in line for 45 minutes
