Aspen, Buttermilk and Snowmass are done. Highlands will open late season, if at all possible.

Snowmass was good with 6-8” of dense snow.

I appreciate the optimism but it's pretty clear to me that lift served is done. I am a lot more worried about our local businesses than I am about my next lift ride.

Pretty lame to see the quarry road get torn up like that. Not going to comment on what else I saw out there. That's a very dangerous zone. Crazy.

At the cabin? Yes, still am.
Snowmass is just really easy and low key, right now.

i have had some great days just getting out on the milk, and a couple days on Aspen. avoiding everyone. It has been nice.
Skied a groomed green run at the milk, north facing with amazing corn on it. Never had so much fun on a flat run.

Bump for SkiCo's official closure. It was a good season, until it ended too soon...

    - $100 off towards next year's pass is fine by me. I wasn't complaining about getting a credit towards future passes, but it's a great gesture.

    - Skinning is still good and it's been nice to get out a few times this week after being out of town for March/April. Highlands is starting to get dire down low with the intense melt last week and cutting of the roads. Up high still looks great. I was hoping to get out today on Aspen, but then the rain [FINALLY] came.

    - I got a lap up Smuggler/BTS and it's great to be back on the MTB. This Sat will probably be a shitshow at Sky Mountain...

Thanks to the Aspen Ski Company for allowing full access to the four mountains!

I hit 155 yesterday on Snowmass, but It’s getting tricky.

Just get out to Sky Mt. early. I’ll probably hit North Rim/Seven Star first thing.

Is it still worth going for some low-key skinning?

Not without riding a bike to it and they’ll probably delay opening the pass.

Yep and I’m not sure there will be much snow left by then. It’s really melting fast.

I’m hoping they close all the streets in the core, put the tent up in Wagner and fill them with picnic tables.
Let everyone carry out food and booze.

I skinned up Aspen yesterday: had to walk to the top of Kleenex, but then was able to skin from there to the Sundeck with only one other walk across summer road near Blazing Star.

Skiing's still good up top and there were some ok turns on the top of Nell on my way down. This week will nuke some of the thin spots, so that was probably my last ski until maybe some pass laps in June.

    Any rumors on Indy Pass?

I've seen the June 1st date announced, but didn't know if anyone had seen how plowing is going...

    2019/20 Aspen/Roaring Fork Thread

No rumors I’ve heard. But they did finish plowing to the top, on the aspen side, last week. I think the general consensus in Aspen is to leave it closed longer than shorter, with many hoping they leave it closed, period

The local political request was to keep it closed to the 1st. There were some discussing longer but that didn’t have the support to have the request move to the state.

    2019/20 Aspen/Roaring Fork Thread

6/1 is pretty reasonable. It could have been a cluster up there this weekend.
Snowmass has been quiet, with mostly locals out on the trails.

This rain should really help the Sky Mt. Trails. They got dusty, fast.
West Government is really good and pretty much everything below Elk Camp is GTG.

I have been early morning riding in Snowmass lately... usually I don't see a single other person.
