Yep, holds in moisture and the heat from the ground. I'd ski it.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

That’s the best part of the Tetons, it rarely snows a inch or two. (And when it’s on a wicked suncrust)!!!

Finally, the photo dump of the vintage skis I saw in IF.
Sorry, but I'm over this piece of shite pic uploader. Maybe one less night drinking at the Knotty and the boys could afford to fix it...

Does it date one if one skied on pretty much all of the skis in dj's photos?
    Never had the pleasure of using the Miller safety bindings;
my Head Jr. GS skis had Cubco safety bindings.
First race, 1966?, they fell off twice in a one run race.
Put them back on and arrived at the finish in tears and a bit off the pace.
Mom broke her leg in 9 places that year when the Cubco safety bindings did not release.
We were all on Look bindings the next year...

Nope, no deals yet. It was a 2020 style meet n greet. He was very cool though.
I'm sure he has some attachment still so pricing is weird to think on. They are all for sale though. If mags here want something they see, let me know. A deal may be struck for a particular group or singles.

Sorry about not following up with the bike; work, weed and earning 2 bikes from H. put it on the back burner, not to mention my minor tweaking knee. Better now kinda.
I owe you a safety update.

Hell no, we recently decided old skiers are accepted in JH. Are we woke now? Izzat what that means?
I never even saw a Miller before that pair. Def Marker heels though.
Twice in one run is hilarious. Fucking Cubco's were everywhere, but dangerous.
Look Nevadas on those White Topsheets, He said Race models; They ARE red...and metal.
My Dad came out to ski with me on my second day ever. He promptly broke his ankle in two places. Fell on the second step going in for some Poconos soup, buckle caught the ice going down.
    Ours is a risky sport.

My Hart Holidays had a full Miller set up. Graduated to explodomats after that. after that I want 3 pin in 1976 and really never looked back. Those Skilom's look functional to this day.

There’s a back story on the camel hat.

Are you a camel straight smoker?

    Huge camel toe fan?

I'm prolly a camellionaire with all the camel bucks I saved from my collegiate smoking days. Should have got that beanie instead of the shitty Joe Camel tote bag.

In other news, this is what Camel Speed Skiing in 1984 looked like:

Strong work on the headband find, dang. They actually had 2!

Camel bucks, prolly got a few of those somewhere still. Camel lights for me, after the Marbs and experimenting with lucky strikes and whatnot. Quit 28 years ago, cold turkey.
    The Tote bag, hah!

Skied on about half, owned just 3. The Rossi Stratos were the go to bump ski for the team guys...with a different top sheet to sell mass market mogul models. Had 223 Heads "downhills" that were already vintage when I bought them for powder days at the bird, they were absolutely money on big days especially in monster pow bumps cause you bridged over them at warp 1. C4's bent, I was a bump skier, do the math. Fun to see them and remember, love the hat. I only have about 200 or so old ski things that I wish I could pull out of the closet once in a while...all gone.

I am so fucking ready to ski.

Ah, the rabbit hole...That damn hat woulda never showed up in here had I been able to add a pic in my PM to skiJ.
That cat brings a shitton of positivity here and has personally shown me a lot of concern and empathy when I lost a friend. He's got it coming as a big thank you for being real, and knowing what counts.

Funny how such a small thing is worthy of some commentary. Kinda keeps the thread rolling.

I have an Idea for the next Season thread intro, if no one is jonesing to do it. Figured I'd kick out the jams on that by 11/1. Lemme know if you got a better plan, I'm down.

Thanks dibs for the Bday non-shout. I'm not too hung up on that day, but I do appreciate my friends up in here. Fishing is gotdamn cold right now, btw.

WD - I'm sure you've had a bunch of coolio local stuffs. Post 'em up when you come across anything we've never seen.

If only Pooh bear opened tomorrow, I think it'd be a WROD with 500 guys like us out there racing on the green run. Wax test!
So ready to turn. Or point.

The Camel Tote bag coulda been marketed as the Camel toe bag.
