sheeet- thought you had driven and yesterday was thinking about you and how harry that drive must be. but being stuck in the airport is worse-so close yet so far away
It was still just werner open yesterday. heard they were going to open Teton lift today but just that crags run. But skiing has been decent- soft snow falling and not too crowded for the WROD
Ha! I just realized for a very short time and the only time this season, I'm going to have 200% more days than DJ :P

Thanks for the positive vibes all. I'm back!
Flew out at the crack o' the crack and glad to be outta the green zone and into the white zone. FL/WY
Yes I'm a little wigged to not be getting after it. I gotta finagle my knee brace, ski boots and pants. Gonna be a weird one. I am fairly hard wired with the every day thing so I'm already spazzing a little.
Thanks to N1CK for the local shoutout for mag help in Denver, appreciate that.
Yeah, fuck United and DIA. Only as a last resort from here on out. The Delta flights from SLC got in last night.
I spent 12 hrs. failing to get comfy for a few minutes, along with one of the Summit Waffle gals returning from NYC.
We eventually settled into the vacated shoeshine seats as they were the softest in the house. People who fell asleep are prolly going to the Chiropractor Monday.
Yeah, snow, winter, skiing!
I'm ready. In my head anyway.
Ski ya soon mags and maggettes.
Edit: As an early Christmas gift I got 2 key ski things: a sweet new camera for some photojournaling. SkifishBum really inspired me with his work.
And a new phone. My Achilles heel for connecting is now cured.
Feel like I got one of those Morton's neuromas though, you were correct, Harry. Not a gift, I assure ya...

pretty fun out there even with the limited opening.
nothing like a little mogul bootcamp to get the legs in ski shape
also saw that there was some funky slide action to note over at Targhee today

BB, I very well may need to take you up on that. Probably no rollers for a month. Having an mri next week, will know more from Goetz then. I will post picks of the step down I ate it on, it was huge. Didn’t know it was coming...

I'll be getting back in a few days... can't wait. I decided to nab a locker at the hostel this year so I can get more days in by getting some work done in the basement between laps.

JFC, Rideit... that blows for sure. I have a fresh ice machine if you want to use it. I'd bring it over the hill for ya if need be. And nugs.
Goetz is a solid choice by all accounts.

Wow, Never seen bumps like that on Crags, wish charging those was on my immediate todo list. hard sayin' right now.
-good to see snow all over though.
Xtine, nice call. In for more laps, gotta connect with BB for good times.
Thanks Harry, that was a great reminder of a really fun hut tour day.
I'm almost ready to turn, talk to doc tomorrow but wanna go TODAY!

My doctor gave me the go ahead today, and without the knee brace...Psyche!
Took about 5 laps on Teewee before I got scooted off the loading ramp because the bar was down and the newbie liftie was not looking while raking the snow on the ramp. Had to suck it up and take the 2 foot drop onto flat and then lay down beneath the chair going over me.
The Clown show of JH lifties is still on par, by my estimate.
Skiing was fun and getting dialed with gear and all the usual actions were no real challenge. Knee felt better than I expected, but still not pain/sore free.
The march begins...
Thanks to the heads up from Adironrider, today I snagged 3 - 2fer1's to the 'ghee for visiting mags. Suhweeeet! (Thanks Pepsi)

Thanks DJU!
I have a fresh ice machine as well, thanks SO much for the offer. We will rally sometime, I am sure we have a hundred peeps in common.
Hope you crush it this year!
Btw, check out this thread for some tasty pics of where I wrecked:

Sorry to hear the Rideit. Also have a stationary bike you can use when the need arises.
DJ had you are back and sliding. You sure have a way with the lifties, I have never heard of something like that
Been getting out with the tikes, interesting to see my 5 year old experience fear when he had none two years ago. Won't take long though the way he is progressing.Day Man. Fighter of the Night Man. Champion of the Sun. Master of Karate and Friendship for Everyone.

The new snow has made me anxious to get the ski gear out and head that way! Getting tires switched over to the snows this week now that the panic/rush is over from the first storm.
Ride it, that sucks! Where in Austin do you mountain bike, the Greenbelt? Lost Creek? Headed that way in 2 weeks to spend Xmas with the family. Happy to go see Robert Earl Kean at ACL.

Green belt back trails, the really good stuff is to the west and not on any map. (Except maybe Strava heat map)
I also like City Park/Emma Long, but it’s pretty beat up from motos.Forum Cross Pollinator, gratuitously strident

Nice! My sister lives off Bee Caves and we sometimes go over to Lost Creek to hike some trails that connect to the green belt. I moved away in 2001, so I sort of get lost now - every thing has changed so much.
