Will be up and about the mountain solo today as my buddy flew back home yesterday. Hit me up. Be nice to have someone to turn and burn with. Blue jacket, yellow pack.

So do you guys call the taco/pizza joint below the Mangy Moose: “The taco place below the Mangy Moose”, or does it have an actual name?

Any locals care to try and predict the future and take some guesses at how the pass and the low hanging fruit in the park might be skiing this weekend? Trying to make some plans with a couple of guys to head your way for the long weekend. Looking pretty snowy this weekend up that way.

Ahhh... the RMO.... my first pass to the Village.
I had it made. Washing dishes at the RMO. It was a highly sought after position.Ski Shop - Basement of the Hostel

I thought it might be the RMO. New VC is the vibe. Of course, I'm so old we called it the Bearclaw.

Rock The Ride Charity For Cardiac And Stroke Patients (on My New Knee!)
So we have this thing called Rock The Ride that is a major local fundraiser. (details can be found here:
https://buckrail.com/ready-to-rock-the-ride/
I have started a team of recent joint replacement patients of my surgeon, Dr. Goetz, and we are calling the team “The Replacements”
basically we ride a trainer for four hours, with each person doing an hour. It is a ton of fun, and a local party. It will be six weeks from my knee replacement, so that’s something to celebrate!
if any of you are interested in supporting this, no contribution would be too small or too large!
you can donate here until March 8

The "low hanging fruit" is pretty much always hammered, but not difficult to escape the masses and walk a little farther.
As for conditions, the skiing right now lingering somewhere between excellent and fantastic in both those places. We're staring at another solid cycle for the weekend. More storm skiing on tap...

Yup, skiing in the Tetons is, as usual, top shelf.
Dfinn - Bring it mag, lemme know if you guys need anything. Forecast is for snow increasing; 1-2" daytime thru Saturday, 4-5" each overnight, sunday's initial forecast is 14" daytime, another 5 overnight. Pick your day...
S-I-J - Myself and Dave VZ plan on hitting your shop for some boot helps. We're both getting bitchy.
Holla today if turning; gonna try and connect with Skeeze and show him around a bit.
edit: oh yeah, fuck me, its Prez weekend. Shit.

Nice! I'm about 99% sure I'm in, hoping to lock down an airbnb shortly. Looks like I'll be rolling solo, my buddy blew up his achilles yesterday trying to make a big play in a high stakes dodgeball game.
I'll be avoiding the resort though, given the referenced prez weekend drama. If anyone is getting out this weekend and doesn't mind me tagging along I'm happy to buy beers. Competent and experienced in the backcountry, somewhere around 30 days touring so far this season. I probably won't slow you down unless you're the spandex rando type or you're wanting to ski 50 degree ice. And if it turns out that I am slowing you down I'm more than happy to bail and do my own thing.
