There's new dirt work on lower tramline. Word on the hill is that the are flattening and smoothing it out and marketing it as another egress route off the hill. For any intermediate or better, the long, featured, massive S turn of a gulley down that zone will be gone and a highway of a groomer will be the new ride. Kinda dumbing down the advanced terrain in there but whatevs. More racetrack.
God help us when they put in a lift on the lower faces.

The lucky brazilian quartz, about 50 yards away from the box.
The tram is getting the track ropes slipped this summer instead of next. And the bollards on top are getting the 12 year maintenance lap. It's gonna run twice as fast next winter with half the people per lap for the virus. 25 locals, 5 workers, 20 visitors.

Anyone local interested in a lap up to Red lodge/Beartooth? Many mags rollin thru for the basin poma platter pull and the choice hike/ski to stuff. Prolly solstice weekend or so.

I was pleased that they didn't grade lower tram line last year, but I knew it was in the works. One of my favorite runs bc I get to avoid people and I actually enjoy the bumps there. Oh well nice while it lasted.

    It lasted 54 years.
I'd heard the rumor as well, hoped they'd wised up but no. The village loses a little bit of it's wildness with every engineering project. Making it easier. Heard they were putting a few million into the dirtwork...
It's safer to ski it off piste, when they groom it, the junkshow begins; and they have NO clue how to address that.

I don't know if any of you guys remember Ray Warburton, longtime Jackson/TV climber/skier, but he died in a fall down a couloir in near his home in Bishop CA. Badass guy with a great sense of humor who was always getting after it. Dragged me along on some great adventures. Here's to you Ray.

Ugh! I am so sorry to hear of that. I spent much of a summer many years ago bashing around the Tetons and the Winds with Ray going after things with youthful enthusiasm. He kept speaking about the skiing in reverntial tones but I was distracted by Colorado and rock climbing and it took me several years to visit in winter and by then he was gone. I always wondered where he ended up? So sad to hear of his death. Here's to you Ray, may you greet whatever adventure awaits with the same enthusiasm and joy!

Buncha 212s, 917s, 323s, etc are flocking here in droves. Escaping the shit holes that they created in their cities and bringing their bullshit here. They'll pay anything for some west bank shit box, driving up prices beyond reasonable. At calico last night the place was full of these shitheels treating staff like something they scraped off the bottom of their Brunello Cucinellis. It's maddening.

I blame the four seasons for setting this mess in motion when they opened.
On the plus side, Nikki Sixx lives nearby. So there's that if I ever need to borrow a cup of gak on a stripper's belly.

Sounds about right. You could even go back to ‘96 when they got the “mountain improvement plan” pushed through. Improvement? Anyway, it’s been going on a long time and I’ve been pissed for longer. I even wrote a letter to the JH N&G that they published on 7/27/05

Young couple down the street from me just moved in from malibu are paying ~$30k/month on a rental home while they build their dream house on fish creek rd. The mrs. has complained to other neighbors about the all horseapples in our cul de sac and on the pathways. They've been turned down for membership at both three creek and sporting club, obviously they're insufferable.

Largest private building in the state.

2nd largest building overall. The state penitentiary beats the four seasons.

But really I blame Indiana Jones. He was the first Hollywood celeb. Prior to that it was quiet “old money”

The MILF gods have been overly generous with their blessings at the village playground this morning. At first you think that must be an au pair, there's no way those hips squoze out three toeheads. At least the 212 fucktards moving here bring some quality talent.

I typically prefer the Texas MILF’s.
Lots of cheerleaders from UT, SMU and TCU here.

Somebody should come up with a Wilson moms Pornhub Channel. Teton backdrops and backcountry ski props and all.

I heard anecdotally that the Teton County ID side assessor is hard at work on 2021 tax assessments and some homes and properties have been assessed 300% over the last time around. I don't know how often they do that though so it might not be as dramatic as it sounds?

There is one in particular I'd be interested to see but probably more plastic than the card I'd pay with
