Targhee released their 20/21 season passes today, but forgot to announce pricing. Whoops.

    My favorite old marketing approach.

Gonna be an unusually quiet summer 'round here; good time to do those things I avoid because of crowds.
Covid cases are almost zero in TC and no one in the hospital.
South and East gates open to YS on monday, no entry from ID or MT yet. Be a nice chilling moto lap to Old faithful, cold still though.

    Stay clean.

low of 44 in the bowl last night
anyone been out making turns in this warm spell?
wondering if it's anywhere close to summer-ish consolidation, or it's isothermal mush all over
hope to get out and see for myself soon, but 72 & cloudy & windy in town drains a little enthusiasm

Skied Jackson Peak last weekend. It was quite good.

Nice! I should’ve done that instead of couch sitting most of the day.

Ended up at Auto Tech. Think they treated me pretty well and the brakes seem to be working knock on wood.

Targhee's season pass prices are up. $699.00 for 2019/20 season pass holders. Not much of a deal for losing a month's worth of skiing this season.

Are you an ‘official’ Targheezer? Or do you have to be approved by Larry Slotta?

Kinda intrigued about ‘partner resorts’ with the bike park pass. I didn’t know that was a thing with Targhee. Maybe the mountain collective cooperation opened some things up?

Not official, but I could see it in ten more years. Besides, I look like shit in DOT orange. Wife turns 65 in a couple of days, she' stoked.

he slid from the ridge above ampitheater lake all the way down delta lake chutes to delta lake. quite a slide down a steep chute, and if he went all the way down to the lake as reported (which given the steepness of the chute is likely) thats not 400 vert, but 750 or so. ouch.

Ya that's a favorite ski shot, certainly steep. Way less forgiving if you aren't carving turns.

Are the south valley trails (nemo, grumpy, etc.) no dog year around or is that in the winter only?

Winter only. Trails are perfect now, just in time for more snow.
