Like J.J. Cale, I would have to be stoned all the time to live on. Tulsa Time.

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...

Tulsa is just not a great...or even good...place.
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

I dunno. I've heard East Oak. ain't so bad, green with rolling hills / ozarks. Healthy drive but do-able to both the gulf coast florida beaches and maybe the front range. there's certianly much worse places.

I'm sure there are worse places, but can't say I've ever had much reason to want to visit Oklahoma.

Has anyone ever been to Oklahoma?

It’s not even a layover state.

I don't really see how importing people so desperate for $10k that they're willing to move to Tulsa is going to improve Tulsa.

I've read your stories and I've worked in Tulsa, it's actually pretty good town and not too bad for Oklahoma.
    Your statement does not compute.

I spent some time there on a document production. My memories are of vast flatness (it's one of those places where you could watch your dog run away for days) and a lot of cigarette smokers.

I lived in OK for 5 years. The local sports bar could not serve beer on Sun. People were very friendly. Tornados were not.

If you watch Watchmen you’re reminded of the Tulsa Race Riots. Great history.
