Looks like there’s a lot of guilty folks in this thread. “I know I say this a lot but I think today was one of my favorite ski days ever”

I used to hike 2 hours for 10 minutes of turns on 207 gs skis, without needing “skins” or “hike mode.” Tell me again how I’m a gaper.

I love ski pics that convey a sense of scale and anticipation. A couple of auvgeek last spring:

Pffft. You guys think you're so cool with your deep power and massive hucks. (You are!) Give me a bushwacking sufferfest to awkwardly ski a vertical mile of variable conditions.

I mainly like this photo because, despite the marginal snow, it is a tremendously cool line (hidden summit couloir!) that isn't often doable and requires considerable effort and luck to pull off. I skied a lot of deep pow last season, but this line might have been the highlight. 6,000 vertical feet of weird steep skiing to go.

Here's the mountain, with the line largely hidden. (Google image photo.)

And now you you can kinda see the sneaky summit couloir. (Google image photo.)
