FS: 2009 Volvo XC70 T6 Silver/Black
Selling my 2009 Volvo XC70 T6 AWD wagon, located in Boulder, CO. 89K on the odometer.
Lifelong Volvo driver (86 740, 94 850, 08 V50 T5, 12 XC90), and absolutely love the car, but with three kids and an 80 pound lab, I need something bigger.
9.5/10 interior, 9/10 exterior. Needs nothing. Tires have 3K miles on them. Fast and fun to drive. Awesome in the mountains and in snow.
Listed on Blinker locally at $11,200 - maggot price $10,500. Carfax here: https://cars.blinker.com/listing/25351

Oh man, how could you ever sell this car?
I have a 2012 V50 AWD T6 with low miles and I'll drive it until California makes it illegal to own anything other than a Tesla.
I'd sell my kids before selling my Volvo (this is probabaly why I don't have kids).

I had a v70 and sold it for the same reason. Regret it because guess what, kids will not be in car seats forever.
I found the narrowest car seat made. Sunshine radian or something.
My next car will be a xc70. Most comfortable seats I have ever used.

If that car was on the east coast, you'd have a buyer (me). Also a longtime Volvo owner. 89 740 wagon, 90 740 sedan (that one had 330K on the odo when it went to the junkyard), 97 S90, 2012 S60T5. Love the S60 but the oil consumption issue doesn't look good for getting it to 200K (it has 100,500 on the odo and it burns a quart of Mobil 1 every 1,000 miles). Yours is the exact car I'm looking for to replace the S60.

Oh man if only I could talk my wife into it. She has her heart set on an outback or ascent (she likes the 3rd row). I’ve always loved Volvo’s but never taken the plunge. That thing is purdy.

I went Volvo in 2012 and haven’t looked back. Like all euro rigs can be pricey to service but the comfort and handle are hard to beat. I would definitely drive this thing before going outback or ascent. Subaru is no Volvo. Worlds apart.

curious, why wouldn't you just fly out and drive it back, particularly if it was the *exact* car you're looking for, and purchasing from a lifelong volvo owner, etc etc. I've flown for a couple cars now and would do again, although i flew SLC>st george and SLC>spokane which is much closer than coast to coast. you're primed for adventure!

Now I’m second guessing my decision to sell! I debated just garaging it for 4 years but that’s not really practical.
I’m happy to ship it anywhere at buyer cost; Summit Auto Transport here locally is great, and I can arrange all the details. I’ve only owned it for 9k / 18 months, and actually had it shipped from NY (no rust at all, btw) last year after a broker found it for me. I wanted a T6 only, 08-10 only (no nav cluster), and 10/10 condition. It was damn close on the latter.
Who wants it?
@MyNameIsAugustWest?
@Luke Campbell?
I just put a deposit down on my new ride an hour ago so it’s ready to move.Last edited by ski-wpk; 10-27-2019 at 05:35 PM.

If someone buys it I could fly out to Colorado. Use it skiing for a week or so, then drive back to New England.

For real. We've done multiple cross-country trips in ours, going non-stop (except fuel stops) for ~1700 miles each way. Butts and backs were good as new at the end. I've NEVER driven a car of any brand that ergonomically comes close to these seats.
Truth. We cross shopped Outbacks before finding our Volvo and after test driving our XC70, then heading straight to the Subaru dealer, the Outback felt like such a tin can in comparison. Something about heavy European cars (especially Volvos) that have that supremely satisfying "thunk" when you close the 1 foot thick doors that are built like a freaking bank vault.
Good luck with the sale, OP! You have a mighty fine specimen there.

Meant to ask you what you got to replace it? I’d be interested but we’re waiting 1.5 yrs to replace our odyssey since kids are getting bigger and beginning to drive and head off to college. I’m trying to decide between an XC70 and XC90

Don’t go for the XC90 unless it has the T6 engine. Same for the XC70, honestly. The non-T6 is equally solid and reliable but not as fun to drive.
New ride is a 2006 Lexus LX 470.
