and in early season form v mid-season function i got a little too comfortable with speed on the soft natural snow and completely ate it on a barely buried stump. luckily an invigorating sort of hard fall, thereafter i scanned harder for hazards.
such a fun day, today would have been even better but for the work thing.

    East MF Coast 19/20.

    That looks good.
I’m in Steamboat, today was cold and wind buffed, four inches of dry snow overnight. My first, fresh laps, of the season.

Well, they were open since last Friday, so I guess they are well on their way to a “good” year.

42` and overcast bob with nary a breeze currently. Lost about 35% of base depth in the yard, still 10-12" left which is good for the south face. Dense and supportive, not rotted out from the warm up. Washing the rig today to get some dirt off seems like a good idea.

Rode the wheel yesterday for the first time in ten days. Mostly groomer zipping, Steins wasn't terrible, though the Cat wants to get back to the "Unfettered" snow.
There were plenty of kids at the bush yesterday due to Vermont school break. Other than skiing my lower lawn I stayed off the untracked areas as they seemed manky

Thursday snow should heal the BC dampness and a cold Friday will dry the new snow a bit.

8" on this makes it a Saturday target
