Can you believe it? It snowed and I had the audacity to not burn gas and not spend ANY money! Instead just enjoyed a few laps out back with people I like. AGAIN!! We go to NES Wednesdays to avoid the weekend crowds. You are a piece of work, but let's get it straight....laughing at Stowe, and complaining about Stowe are not the same, and I'm clearly laughing in this instance.

Thought that was the 80th anniversary top sheet? Yeah, Wade has the same ski. That Praxis poster in the pisser blows my mind every time I take a leak there. What a line!

You have to laugh about the many Cayennes and X5s sitting on that road, just sitting there, filled with all those entitled Boston and NY assholes and their kids and the thousands of dollars of mediocre equipment they bought just for this day. There must have been over a hundred people thinking, don't they know who I am? Ahhhhhhh!!!!

Glad you are laughing, probably doesn’t happen much.

Didn’t ski Stowe, a former ski area, or cross a track. This spot, I didn’t cut, not sure who did, but I have trimmed over the past 7 or so years with people who have kept it trimmed for the past 20.

That’s beautiful. Very tranquil. My pics from today would be much more anxiety inducing.

We skied Killington yesterday and Pico today, somehow eluding the masses on the lift lines both days. I've been up on Holiday weekends the last couple of years and also avoided the lines.

Pico probably got 3" which would have been great on top of a good base, but..... It was still a ton of fun although it was pretty much all skied off by the time we bailed at 2. Hopefully the little system coming in next weekend over-performs and comes in a day earlier.

Shawnee, PA but honestly I can’t complain about the snow quality. They did a good job. The offspring wanted to hang with his friends at the Crack and I said OK. I guess it’s my own fault.

Nice, it’s all skiing and way less forgiving than 100 under foot.

I hear Sunapee had 5,000 people on the hill yesterday. I guess that was some kind of record.

Get to the lot at 530 am for dawn patrol - problem solved!

We also invested in skinny skis. We got them out after the 10:00 am powder bonanza got crushed by the stampede.

Top half mountain glades were dreamy. The lower half still needs some work.

Any report on Cambridge Fire headed up to the notch with a snowmobile and lights spinning yesterday?

Snowboarder with shin and tibia fracture. Low tide, kids.

Back-country skiers/riders....please be careful. While the snow at higher elevations may seem epic (it’s probably not), near the bottom of that run we just don’t have much base.... hidden obstacles can be season-ending.

We pulled a snowboarder out of the woods yesterday with a fractured tibia. A hidden rock caused the fall....another hidden rock took out the shin bone.

Thanks to Mt Mansfield Ski Patrol and Cambridge Fire/rescue for the assist.

Up high is dreamy, down low is sketchy.

My skis are approx. 1/2 lb lighter due to the ptex I left on all the rocks.

    Thanks Bottle.

And to the point of your post I could be more specific. We found good snow above 3000' but not everywhere. North-facing gullies with protection could be deep, if right.

We hiked back up and out of a south-facing line up high, that was too pitched and still too scratchy.
