We're doing this on purpose to block passage of out of staters.
Silent....but shredly.

just bought my season pass for 20/21 at Jay - early bird prices go up after June 8th and they have a decent deposit down/refund policy if you change your mind before October. Always exciting to buy the pass over the summer to have something to look forward too, especially given the circumstances this year.
What's everyone's thinking for passes heading into next season? Ikon/Epic? One specific resort or local hill? Are you buying now or waiting for more info. about revised operations moving forward? I imagine the backcountry scene is going to grow significantly with folks still concerned about health risks.
Anyone have any predictions on the sale of Jay? will it be Alterra or someone else? On the market as of last year, heard rumors in the fall that deals were being made and a buyer was lined up, thought it might all be finalized at the end of this season after tallying the total skier visits & revenue but obviously a wrench was thrown in the works there. Wondering if there's a possibility of it happening this summer, I personally am doubtful but curious to know everyone's thoughts.
Hope everyone's stayin' safe out there, positive vibes all aroundmy head is perpetually in the clouds

I bought a Smuggs Bash Badge + for next season. I got my money’s worth last season, even with the early closure.
If they cant open, they will credit it to the 21/22 season.
I figure with double chairs, if they have to they run as a single and only loose 50% uphill capacity.

Most areas have followed Magic's lead and are offering some sort of credit for 21/22 if 20/21 is a bust.
Everything I've read is that there is virtually no chance Jay/Burke will be sold prior to this season. There hasn't even been a bid submitted. See the latest in the Storm Skiing Journal blog (sorry I don't have a link, I get it in my email)

With the uncertainly surrounding travelling West to ski next Feb/March for our annual trip, renewing my Ikon pass for the Western benefit is much less tempting. I'm thinking of putting my money to better local use and buying a Saddleback season pass to help them get up and running again.
Sugarloaf, Sunday River, and Loon are calling 150 days a full season and offering a prorated credit if they are not open 150+ days in 20/21.

No news is bad news. No offers submitted, everything ground to a halt. With all of the uncertainty around next season it’s hard to imagine a sale anytime soon. I think I heard months back that Vail was out of the picture.

Vail seems to have run out of money so maybe this is good news disguised as bad news. Any word on whether TJ Maxx would be interested? Because I’d be first in line to ski at TJ Burke’s.

Win Smith thanks the Spaghetti Monster every morning when he awakes that he sold sugarbush last year, or he would be stuck with it for several more years and have gotten less for it.

Yep, they’re putting in the new lift now and had a new Pisten Bully delivered this week. Social distancing at Saddleback has never been difficult... plenty of space, no crowds usually. Season pass there and then day tickets at Black when needed. Oh yeah, Saddleback season pass also get you two free days at Jay.
Hope your recovery is going well Cat, and hope to make turns again with you.

For sure for sure. Finally ditched the crutches this past Tuesday. Walk with a imp that becomes more pronounced as the day wears on, but real progress starts now.
