They may hope by remaining open and having the state shut them down to get some sort of emergency aid.

I don’t know, there are a lot of stubborn people on Facebook who still seem very interested in riding lifts. Without any other options nearby I bet they’ll draw a crowd, which I’m guessing will get them shut down fast.

Boreal/Burton Corp collab with all profits going to Jake and Donna’s Chill foundation. Tasty too. Beer stocks are fine here for now.

Was on my way home from the last yoga class before studio shuts down indefinitely.

Was great taking a run with you guys , around 11:30 or so I carefully distanced myself behind you two following MNIAW’s tracks turn for turn down trick and across to lower black line yes even through the abandoned park ! You guys went to the lodge after the run, I proceeded on. Magic, socially distancing since the 60’s.

    Be well people!

Ha! This reminds me of my last tour last year with Peruvian after Stratton closed.

Edited to add that Bromley specifically mentioned no uphill traffic in their closure notice.

They should shitcan the management at Smuggs. Bad fucking optics.
Hey moeghoul I’d say take a lap, but judging by that picture, you have no desire to earn turns.

I am 100% in line with shuttering the majority of stuff and sequestering but honestly cannot wrap my head around closing ski areas. Someone said in one of the hundred different threads why not close all the lodges leaving open restrooms and let us slide. Everyone could use the distraction and fresh air. 95% of your body is covered and if your stupid enough to sneeze or cough on a liftie then they should be able to shoot you and leave the body for the bears.

Large groups of people in tight quarters is not good, right? Lift lines can be tight quarters. Tough to keep lodge closed and hill open.

Smarter people than me made these decisions at hills all over the country and I would side with the majority on this one.

NH restaurants and bars closed after tonight, but Waterville Valley is open with $17 lift tickets tomorrow???

Am I a shitty parent if I let my 17 y.o. head up with a friend?

it’s a lot of gas, stopping at restaurants, using the same restaurants as everyone else, and not staying the fuck at home. and if anyone hits a tree / gets in a car accident, etc, it can take a hospital bed that they’re expecting to be used by a corona patient imminently.

if you need to go outside it has to be like walking dead, you do your business and get back to camp.

sucks but it’s the way it is. hope for local snow and a skinner.
