As for tomorrow, the cold and wind sound nasty. High of zero and wind chill to 25 below. It would be a heartier soul that’s me who would enjoy that.
I’ve got some new gloves that are said to be warm and I want to know if that is true or not.

Glad you guys got out there today.

Stowe was good today. The woods are obviously still a no-go, but National and Liftline skied great all day. Dumped all day, wind buffing and free refills until my legs gave out. Click image for larger version.

Aw bun buns. Sorry, gotta splurge on a good bottle if Barolo and fine food before you snuggle up there, big guy.

I didn't ski anywhere. I have a life outside living in dismal Vermont and getting a hard on over six inches on crust. How depressing it must be coming back to your shack in the woods.

Eeyore, crust is snow too, once you learn to ski it.

Solo skiing today so unfortunately wasn’t able to get any action shots of twigs, but great day nonetheless. Skied on the lift all day, which I’m guessing won’t be the case this weekend.

Good posts except for Eeyore, thankfully he is going to Deer Valley soon to poke around in some low angle trees.

Great snow on the groomers this morning for sure. Warmish overnight upped the density level so it skied deep anded packed in well. Steins had filled in troughs and was legit deep powder bumping though by the third run lots of rocks and grass were showing in a bunch of places, but easy to avoid.

Well covered trees from the freezing precipitation yesterday topped with new fluff, wind rolled in at 10:20 or so to strip and refresh.
early report claimed snowmaking on Murphys, Birdland and Steins. Yea right, not a flake today, but a snowmaker walked down shaking snow off the hoses.

Some D-bag poachers "skied" in off Jester over the hoses on Birdland and fell down Lower Birdland to the amusement of the chair people.
Lower mountain natural terrain is not the best place to be and requires knowledge of where any ribbon of snow was before the meltdown, rock skis and luck.

Installing a shower door tomorrow, thankfully, otherwise I would be concerned with wind overnight, the cold drying the snow out and wind/cold on the hill. Saturday morning is going to start out crazy cold and be a skied off shitshow by 11:15.
Saw a skier getting a sled ride at 11 and an ambulance arrive around 1 for a pickup. Be Careful out there.

Nice to see things looking good on the south side also. We were amazed at how empty it was today, never even a 30 second wait made it that much more enjoyable. Definitely one of the most enjoyable groomer only days I've had in a long time, never really thought about trees.

I'll chip in to send Bunny Massengill anywhere but here. Even on mute his whiney bitching gets through way too often, for the love of God I beg of you all, stop quoting the miserable little nozzle and he will move on...end rant and thank you!

Funny, your post reminded me of something Glen Plake said in the early superstar jump off cliffs for glory days after he help make Blizzard, about how it is so foolish to go to some mountain you've never been to before, like, ahem, Squaw, and leap into stuff that may have a barely covered boulder under there, something locals would be aware of. Except, you were talking about, uh, what? A rock or something?

Eeyore, “snow” said boy. The tv said no snow, radio said now snow, old man said no snow. But, all snow knows is snow.

I love living in the fresh air and mostly quiet Vermont local.

Tremblant skied surprisingly well. The woods were in play and I didn't hit any rocks.

Almost got taken out by an absolutely out of control Asian lady, which was nice.

Skied some fresh snow, had lunch with ticketchecker, listened to a great Phish show on the drive home. What's not to like? Goliaths don't mind a few twigs... mows 'em down like everything else in their path.
