Found some nice snow with around 15" depth on the Wapack Trail today. It looks like folks are finding deeper in the Greens. Still, it was nice.

Mid northwest greens approx. 23 mins from my house (not gps coordinates, but as close as I got) were pretty fluffy. Clean woods are good, anything with underbrush is still choked.

Spun the wheel and joined the conga line for some fresh, can't believe how slow some people walk.

They saved a ribbon for me along the edge. Walked to top of GH after and skied home, didn't want to run the wet guns.

We were pretty close to each other today, Rob. I hope we cross paths again this season!

I had been hoping to get over to Greylock or the Hoosac range this weekend, but it just wasn't in the cards. So, I stayed closer to home. About 1.5" of fluff on top of the still-soft remnants from the last storm made for soft turns, but it didn't ski as deep as it did a few days ago. Mercifully, Thursday's slight thaw didn't make it much beyond 495.

    Riding lifts tomorrow.

Pics are all posting sideways. I have no idea wtf is going on with that right now.

Apparently if I take a screen shot of a photo using the phone that took the original, they orient right-side-up. What the hell, tgr?

    ^^Some great looking snow.

Plattekill opened today and most of the snow that fell Monday and the lake effect that fell this week was largely untracked.

Great, great day, spirits were mid-winter high.

That one never gets old does it, 6 yrs later and still brings the laffs!

Conditions were far above expectations and crowds way below, a rare combo. Low hanging fruit was so good Peruvian didn't force me to earn any turns today despite that being the plan. We found many low angle spots that were ideal and even a few untouched steeps after a short hike but some others that still had sharp teeth and or water bars that were lurking below the clean canvas...just glad there was no photographic evidence of my loosing battle with that well I ended up in. 3 days in row this early in the season had my back leg cooked by early afternoon but I managed to keep the freeheeler in site most of the day.

Only one shot on our way back to the lot but somehow everyone forgot about the left side which Peruvian glady farmed. Get after it tomorrow if you can before the rinse cycle does!
