Anyone going to be at Snowshoe new year's day? Would be great to meet up and get some laps.

Heading into the Zone tomorrow morning, to see what 10" of fresh will do for it. Folks with patience for about 4 miles uptrack to get to the drop-in are welcome. The Waterfall line will not be ready, but I might go look at it anyway.
    PM for meetup details.

^^appears there's a lot of "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" going on in that Waldo pic. . . .or bush is handing out edibles at the lift.

I rode the loft at K last week with a kid with those icelantic skis with the monkey graphics. He said only 3 pair made. Kid lives in Miami. Almost asked for change until I heard Miami

Things are looking up here- accumulating snain and sleet, and if things change to snow as we hope they do, this sets up a heck of a lot better than the bare ground we had up here yesterday.

My spies tell me the Western Whites are getting good base builder snow. The mix happened already and it's back to snow through Tuesday night.

. Wow yeah only a few made, they were sold by a shop on Haight Ashbury in San Francisco. Bought them new with my first dynafit bindings Fall 08, sold the verticals but came across a good deal on some speed turns and they ski again as my rock skis.

Very brief sleet and freezing period here then back to snow five inches plus and still snowing hard

I just thought of a new game. Guess the average alcohol blood level of everyone in that pic, and then guess the maximum of any skier.

    Yup, quite the clusterfuck.

29` w/light snow falling currently bob. Dry slotted virtually all night 1 1/16" of powder over 4 1/4" of dense sleet.

Cat gave the sleet a 6/10 due to the freezing rain layer, 2600' earned.
