Thirded on the Kryptons! Been breaking in a new pair for a few weeks now and I'm loving them. Paired with my brandy new prescription Bolle lenses (who new it was easier to ski when you can see) and I have once again claimed my throne as THE BEST SKIER ON THE MOUNTAIN!!!!!!!

Much improved conditions today, maybe not season best, with sun and good temps. Bumps skiing great with the new snow, groomer railing possible on packed powder. Ski on everywhere and so few people around it was almost like having the mountain to myself.

Lots of fun lines left untouched since the weekend skied well with the refresh of dense snow

Tomorrow should be nice before the 10 day shitstorm on the horizon. Saw a number of IKON skiers, mostly standing around deciding where to go, as evidenced by their SR/SL lift ticket collections.

Went on little tour of Mt Moosilauke today

The sun was poking through sporadicly - not enough for the coveted 360 view, but still offering a few glimpses of the other worldly wind-scoured landscape

Benign temps with virtually no wind made up for the restricted views; a few inches of new snow made the mellow ski down the Carriage Rd quite fun - i would even downgrade the top part from "Survival Skiing" to "Defensive Skiing" as I was able to link a couple of turns on a patch of soft wind crust

    A few pics

That place would be so much better if they widened the carriage road. Even with good snow it skis well for maybe 5 people then is done. It's a fun trip up and the summit is cool, but down has always been a chore except for the lower parts in the hardwoods.

We've certainly been Bennied with a persistent dry slot. 30` and calm with a half inch of new snow over a rain crust over a half inch of snow bob.

The views weren’t the best this morning, but the snow was soft and carvable, and nobody around. I’ll take it

I have a voucher for a ticket at MRG tomorrow that I'm not going to use. I looked and it doesn't say non-transferable. First one to PM me gets an email with the voucher attached.

Buy me a beer some day...

I'll be on the road from about 3:30 until 6:00 so don't panic if I don't respond immediately.

Not exactly Frabjous Day in the Zone:
    Oh that fresh snow,
oh that nice skin track under the fresh,
alas that crust layer and the iced and frozen tracks left by Dangur's party defeated both my not yet hale and hearty knee and such mojo as left in my old carcass.

2,400 vertical feet gained in good style but the descent was not one for the record books. Still, I did saw away a couple of line blocking leaners so it wasn't a total loss.
The sad truth is that whine does not age well

Ragged was foggy, but the 2" of fresh was enough to open the gnar.

    dare say it looks mid-wintry.
    ...and that looks fun powbumps.

arriving late with a couple from fri/sat last.
no ptecip upon arrival. suddenly blowing snow as i booted up inside, moments after i'd looked away.
friday after 3pm may have been the coldest i've ever felt riding a chair, with punishing headwinds on both chairs. *almost* skipped last run but grabbed 4th to last chair on single...

scored first chair on double the following morn...arrived back at base hoping for a quick repeat but the crowds on sat seemed to materialize as fast as the snow did the day before. spoiled lately i almost called it a day but after coffee and muffins endured the lines and made it to last chair option at 3:57. skipped it to save a little for the drive home.
