No surprise there ^^^ Middlebury was the first college to announce they were going to online classes.

Lol... hopefully they will still be honoring uphill passes...

All sorts of shit is closing up.... Jersey Dave may finally be getting his wish of the demise of the tourist economy in Vermont.

arrived at berkshire east at 2:45. a nice option with their 9-9 thursday hours.

learned they were closing early - at 4pm - and that was gonna be it for the season!

60 mile detour back to jiminy. arrived after 4 and enjoyed some fantastically hero corn. fast, surfy, playful and often pretty deep.

i usually listen to tunes while skiing.
tonite i never did. wanted to be fully present.
there'd likely be more bad news on the radio for the ride home.
    i let the skis run.
    savored every turn.
    to ski was good!

    be safe everybody.
    ski hard.

    reach out to loved ones.
    be kind to all.

I am thinking about booking a cheap ticket to Denver or slc with the intent of using the free changes so I can go in the summer or next season...

Looks like it will be nice spring of skinning up deserted ski resorts.

Curious to see is SB crowds will dwindle significantly as this plays out.

Email from win Smith this morning about cancelling and refunds. They are probably getting some pretty low bookings.
Cannon closed today due to power outage and wind. Windy!

Yeah I read that. I'll head there tomorrow and just do some laps, no lodge of beer breaks this time.

Solitary activities likes skiing and biking will keep some of us sane during this.

    I like Buckets style.

That BC fest on George should be a good time.

As usual this is a good listen, I saw that time lapse earlier this week and the whole story is interesting.

Lots to unpack regarding this decision but with no students that left the Mighty, Mighty with only Sean G. on Patrol. Word is that we will have a few volunteers for the weekend. More importantly, my strong sense is that our meager snowpack would not have survived the upcoming week's weather so we were doomed virus or no virus. Will sadly be a short skinning season unless the weather changes right quick.

Back to the reality of boat bottom prep and painting after a nice week in BC. Virus, What virus?

I hope to survive long enough to come over and ski bumps on the Superstar this Spring. I’ll make sure not to forget my goggles like I did today!

That would be a great idea, but won't they just credit you the money rather than another flight? If they credit another flight it would be a great way to make something good out of this mess.

Just a warning to anyone headed north this weekend: resort towns get the news, too, and you should probably plan on not being able to buy TP locally.

The local grocery store was out of all but single rolls a few hours ago with the next delivery scheduled for Monday, so I'm guessing the convenience stores and such will get hit this afternoon.

I don't get the TP craze. I'm stocked up on food and beer.

I can get creative with wiping my ass, getting creative with food is a bit more difficult.
