This was the week of MLK Day, but I think you crossed paths with my friend Nick over President’s Day. It turned out to be my only NH trip of the season but at least it was a good one!

My cousin went into work briefly last week and said that he saw similar signs on 93 in Salem. They’re definitely trying to get the message out.

Similarly over the weekend a coworker was out on his roadie and crossing the border into VT. He said the welcome sign was taken down and a sign was up saying to self isolate if entering so he turned his planned loop into a quick out and back.

Crossing the boarder from where, Massachusetts? I live on the river, NH side, I’ve been riding over to the VT side no issues or signage. But yeah, don’t come up from the hot zones. No one wants you here.

I know this is important and for public health but reading this didn’t make me feel good about what else may be coming.

He's not wrong, but there's no snow which just ups the possibility of getting hurt. Especially him. He sucks at skiing.

There is a sign on the Rte 123 bridge crossing that says if coming to VT to stay, please self-isolate for 14 days. Saw it on Saturday as we zipped over to the Magic house to grab some essential supplies. Quick over and back.

just changed over from liquid precip. to sleet down in town at Jay, I've got my fingers crossed its snowing up on the mountain. the early call from NOAA was close to 20" in this cycle for us up here, hoping the temps drop a bit more and that forecast rings true

Purdy sure Jay is closed to uphill travel.
That said with this moisture content 8” will ski like 20” ... if it were open I mean. 8” probably already down.

....on second thought 20” would put into play a lot 8” would not. I haven’t been there in some time but I’d assume the base is cooked absent man made assistance.
