Last year was one of the deeper snowpacks they have had. Hid a lot of the growth. There is a lot of work to do. Currious with the big investment in infrastructure coming how they position themselves for sales. Prior model certainly did not work. My "guess" is they want to get the mountain up and running again and then sell it off. That will take a few years to complete, but not sure if they are in it for the long haul.

My buddy was upta Saddleback last week doing some roofing repairs to the lodge and condos. He reported to me last night that the T-bar is broken and the Yurt is a destroyed heap on the ground. I was hopeful that they could open the base lodge, yurt, and at least run the t-bar and kennebago quad for this season. Even having the base lodge open to serve soup on the weekends for the skintrack crowd would be an improvement. Time will tell, I certainly wish them well.

Aim for the chopping block. If you aim for the wood, you will have nothing. Aim past the wood, aim through the wood.

No photos of the skiing but it was pretty decent! Not blower overhead deepness as shared by Ski The East but a big improvement over yesterday! As expected the parking lot was almost full when we left.

Jay on Tuesday should be titty deep on grass. 14" forecast. So pissed I didn't bring my touring shit on this trip. Planning on K Tuesday. Going back to biking the next couple of days.
Sunday River had a 45 minute line today. It was ok, just good to be sliding on snow. Did not snow there at all like it did in Franconia. Good news was that they have not yet set up the scanners so could not burn my Ikon day and just let me ski. See for tomorrow.
