Blue Hill and Sullivan are easy drives for me from home on MDI. I'll be down in Portland for the TGR ski film and Dark Star Orchestra concert at the State Theatre on Nov14 & 15. Looked up the tides and Sheepscot looks good... mid-day with 11ft+ tides. I'm gonna throw the boat on the roof. It's been at least a decade since I've been there... thanks for the reminder of a good spot!

That is a grimace on my face. Not really bending them because I murdered my right shin on some deadfall on Saturday scouting BC lines in SoVT with Goniff. Still felt good to be sliding once again.

Sunday River opening this weekend? I heard a rumour but no ticket sales in their site.

Otherwise I am stoked to ride kingdom trails closing days Thursday Friday, ride or run some other stuff over the weekend like craftsbury common then ski Kmart on Monday. Anyone ever ridden Hardwick VT?

For those in the NEK, do you think that last storm blasted the KT trails?

    Season transition weekend!

Trying to decide... Burn an Ikon day or pay? Went through my plans and I might not do 5 days there anyway. Hmmm... $35 is $35...

Still not ready to put any of the bikes away for the season yet, but this forecast and Buzz Killington opening brings shifting perspectives. Need to go wash the car and put the summer tires back on first though.

Sounds like a lot of mags at the Bush this season again, maybe we should do a mini since we'll probably all be there anyways.

Lets hope this season can even come close to last! Already behind the eight ball in that comparison but there is still plenty of time for another Snovember!

There was some damage but it sounds like they got most of the blow downs cleared out. The bigger problems were along the West Branch side where the river got really high and flooded a couple trails.
However, trails may end up closed if we get more than a couple inches of snow. Bring the Fatty

Rumors abounding about Sunday River opening this weekend, but the official accounts have been very careful to only promise that they'll announce when ready, not even hinting at anything when asked about this weekend.

I'm thinking the weather is sufficiently borderline that they hope to turn lifts but that they don't want to promise anything because it could get ugly.

Currently dreary and raining in town Bethel.

    Hi friends,

You may know me as the guy who buys your 10 year old skis and tech bindings,

I'm actually looking at applying to the Sugarbush patrol and am wondering if anybody here knows someone they could put me in touch with. I sent an email to Colin and Chad. Also trying to find out where I can take an OEC training since I missed the NSP training.

Is K full coverage on what's open? Old rock skis or newer rock skis?

From past experience it will be well covered, especially midweek. Sharp skis would be advised, rock or not.

1/2" of frozen sleet on vehicle bob @ 34`. bush finally started snowmaking last night on upper mountain.
