no. that 11pm bite was after the nap-extended journey home.
just managed a good stretch of trips to mad during the past week.

BD: good call too, esp with terrain opened up. but how bad were those lines for the lifts??

Lines were insane. Reminded me of Vail... (had to sometimes even wait for another group in front of us!)

Wish I had run into you as I was packing and thinking your famous beer stash(es)

I think tomorrow morning will be warm and at least at Cannon it's like 30% Chance of liquid so will be nice skiing. Not great long term but tomorrow will be fun. I'll look at Sunday forecast tomorrow.
I'll be checking tickets so come say high. I will bring an umbrella just in case.
    And there's football!

to the south i see chance of rain after 5pm...and miniscule rain totals at that.
bullish on a springy, if grey day tomorrow.
no way to see anything good within reach for sunday.

^^ ml242 : my bad. i see i typed 11am for that burger at home.

I’ve got my fingers crossed for a decent springlike day at Plattekill tomorrow. May be my irrational optimism getting the better of me again...

Wind played havoc with lift holds today and MEllen was down to just Inverness or the park. Waiting outside the lodge at MEllen early afternoon and one of the Adaptive program clients came in way too hot and plowed into a ski rack headfirst. Brutal to watch it unfold.

Back to riding in shorts tomorrow.

Looks like a reasonable day at Plattekill on Saturday. NWS has less than 1/10 inch of water for Roxbury.

NYSB kind of spancers the day.

Translation: We'll buy you a beer if you have a lift ticket.

    Come bucket, come all.

It was a side country zone, on skis 500' from the door and depending on the route I take the same or to the door on the return. Tons of narrow lines to ski that the usual "track followers" miss. I have a bunch of these I can ski and skin up through the thicket to start so I don't leave a welcome sign at the entrance. Decades of skiing this hill means there aren't many secrets left to find. I will also go out when it is frozen solid and tour around refreshing my memory and looking for any new lines. And pitching deadfall if I can.

This looks nice and wintery. Also strong work By Harvey and Scottski, wish I could manage the turnpike drive one year to catch that lake affect. With the lakes currently unfrozen it will get nuked again, might hav to visit.

49` and very windy bob. Considerable snow loss overnight from the warm wind. A few lifts on hold but Bravo and GMX currently loading.

I don't like this guys message, nor would many around Jay

Got back to take the cat out, snow had manked by that time so road the lift for 90 minutes, Bravo down on winhold and VH was running at around 300' a minute with the wind directly down the line. The damp wind was not refreshing. Lapped for 5 nonstop Malls and a gripping Steins which hadn't softened at all. Cats claws aren't that sharp and had some fun 40' slides to the next pile while maintaining line and avoiding a few Zorro's. Fear there won't be any natural snow trails left by tomorrow morning, oh well.

One of the saddest things, for me, other than old friends dying is the loss of so many musicians whose music has been so important to me over the years.

An interesting thing about living in MTL is that the gutters don't go down the outside of the buildings downtown but rather directly through pipes from the roofs to the sewer through the interior to prevent the sidewalks from being more of an icy shit show then they already are. In my building, the pipe is adjacent to my bedroom and it has been singing this morning.

Awesome shot of the job site, VTF.
