Nice. Enjoy, thanks for the info.

One more question. And they work ok on the harder icy stuff too?

What a name though. Hope it isn't prominently displayed anywhere. I wanted to google them after the high praise but I don't think I want to put that into my search history at work.

I've seen that failure once on a park rat ski. Those look pretty well taken care of so I'm guessing you're not hitting rails regularly?

I’ve been hitting Stratton with my IKON, it’s not a bad hill. I kinda dig it. Today was actually pretty fucking good.

I have those skis! And I loved skiing Stratton the past few years. Test pilot and kidderook ravine are awesome! Follow that with a bucket of wings from the green door pub and you had yourself a day.

Masterbater is just a play on their actual name which is the J Skis Masterblaster. And I can agree with Bottleman, they are probably the best ski I've been on across all conditions on the east coast and a bit out west.

Thanks for the ‘heads up’ on the wings, I walked right past that place today. I like the Latigo, it’s a good, skinny, all mountain.

When snow conditions are smarmy at nearby hills, it delivers.

When you're done skiing, you can head down to Manchester, feed the trout at Orvis--a handful of pellets is $0.25--then go pet the cats at Circa 50, and the best hamburger in town is at the Firefly.

When there is any natural snow, Stratton blows. They till it into oblivion so it always feels like you are skiing “frozen granular” even on the day after the storm.

Since Stratton marked all the woods, they get way too much traffic (lots of shaving snowboarders).

If you want to carve big GS turns, I guess Stratton beats Okemo.

It depends, did the snow fall after or before the groomer went thru?

I've experienced some great "EC pow" days at both Okemo and Stratton, where at some other less groomed hills the previous funk stayed under the new snow.

I couldn’t ski those. My daughters like Frozen too much and that song would haunt me mercilessly.

Neither mountain is steep enough for true powder days. Once there is more than 10” of nor’easter snow, you have to straight line North American to keep momentum.

It can be a ton of fun midweek when the trails are empty.

Oh, I'm all about the park.

And in seriousness, yes, they are great on the hard pack but only if you have two working heel pieces.
