Yesterday was another all-time spring touring day! I agree with the others here in that I'm amazed at how much coverage is still left on most of the trails - beautiful sunny skies, smooth and surfy conditions, all around great time.

Cat and I rolled out after a leisurely breakfast and wandered over to the base-o-the-Rock with skis shouldered. Ran into a couple we met last Saturday that were intrigued by my Rock tales from the week and were headed up.
Cat thought they should have taken their skis off before going down the new snow over dirt.
We waxed the skins vigorously before heading out and only laid skis on new over old without a problem

Ran into some friends base-o-gate, one of whom was involved with the TC Mt. Washington incident, and got the news of "10-12" and flat with no wind blown snow summit" Boing!

Back to the top for an OG, about 10 people and a couple of dogs dawdling around getting ready to ski. Quick transition and of we went for another clear run.
Back up to Bravo for some track farming
Ran into another bud and when I mentioned the skins he said "they were there Wednesday". After some discussion and that he was going back to the top and would collect skins and thy to find an owner through SM.

Mountain still under clouds and some fresh graupel falling, maybe 5 or 6 minutes of sun during todays tour that were immediately felt on the body and would quickly have cooked the snow.

Looks fun, but gotta ask - why bother bringing the helmet if you're not gonna wear it

Feels like the moto guys who stop as soon as they cross the bridge into NH to remove their helmets... right, live free or die...

    Impressive snowfall ^^

Only an inch bob this AM and 30`.

Watched an early morning skier lay first tracks on Steins. get after it before Sol cooks it.

Two skiers played tracks on Ripcord, one old school tight turns and one that made eight arcs. Both currently skinning back up the headwall, setting their own skin tracks.
