Solid recap of today's bounty all and akok, happy to see the trip out of your local zone w/the mrs paid off, next time! Most of you have no idea how much this stoke helped soothe my soul on a day that otherwise, pretty much sucked on a personal level. 2¢ of advice, take it or leave it, ignore the people in your life who spew negativity and focus on living life every day,.

There is one on here who has. But Harry is too good of a person to get involved in this, so best to defer.

We were talking yesterday that it would be a day for some sort of incident, likely avalanche, and Peruvian suggested checking the SP blotter.

Jeez, I came here to post some stoke and criticize Benny for thinking the only thing to ski yesterday was moguls but this is a total bummer. Vibes to the family, friends, and the guy who made it out ok. I can’t imagine how he’s feeling today. Also the rescuers, I can imagine getting to them was not an easy task.

    Nice shots Ayo
Jay Peak woods have been glorious over the last two days. Heading out to Burke w the kids today though. 5 day stretch and legs are cooked. Power wedging low angle trees with a 3 year old between my legs chasing my 5 year old is going to be a paramount physical challenge. But to FD’s point I am going to enjoy every minute of it.
    Sad news out of Stowe.

    East MF Coast 19/20.

On top of Ullr’s bounty, news out of Germany is Vermonter (and friend’s son), Ben Ogden, is the 6th fastest sprinter in the world at Junior Worlds. Congrats, Ben!

Any scuttlebutt on where abouts this occurred? Pre Epic, off the gondy or the peak was where we would be at. There are some sneaky big cliffs down low before the road. Scared myself once or twice.

I know it's been said but damn, was at Jay Peak Friday and that was the best ski day we've aver had. Deepest powder I've ever skied, and first time on powder skis. What a blast. Legs still feel funny.

We were originally planning to go to Smugglers Notch, possibly Stowe and then Jay, but our schedule got screwed around plus a sick cat so we only had a day at Sutton and a day at Jay.

Sincere thanks to Vt-Freeheel and others who offered to show us around SN and Stowe. Hopefully next year.

Awesome pics. I just got back from Altabird and while it was great, it hadn't snowed in almost 2 weeks so was firm in the morning and spring skiing in the afternoon. Goggle tans!
New England apparently got the snow.
Sad story from Stowe. Love life.

What I heard today up at Stowe was that it was off the backside of Spruce somewhere skier’s right of Sterling Pond trail but left of where most of it flows out. I dropped in at about 2:30 and there were a couple of guys around that age discussing with a snowboarder that there were some serious cliffs that could be found but otherwise should be avoided... scary stuff

    East MF Coast 19/20.

Legs rallied for a new zone. Snow wasn't as epic as the Bolton-Stowe ridgeline but company and glades were incredible.

very jealous, thanks for the stoke guys, way to get after it! Will be at jay 20 March, hoping for another big dump to get some fresh turns, but hey even so, it will be fun. I heard 32 inches, is that pretty accurate? Damn, looks amazing.

that is sad stuff about stowe. I haven't been there in a while, mainly as a result of Vail. But some fun terrain, and like others had mentioned, some sneaky cliffs at the bottom with no LZ's. Any more intel on the incident? A fall off a cliff vs avy? vibes to friends, family, and the survivor. That has got to be very tough for all involved. vibes ++++

Accurate enough. Started Wed early and went right through Sat morning. Seemed the first third came in on the heavy side w/ the following 20” or so lighter = crazy coverage and just wall to wall beauty. Tracked stuff still skied incredibly well. Go anywhere as fast as you want set up.
