One of those days that you're happy they put that bubble chair where they did. Still hammering at 3:30. Mañana should be really good.

Cat wasn't in a bubble
This looks crowded
Yep, damn tourists tracking it up
Couldn't get a reservation for the upper lifts today, maybe tomorrow, found 4-8" wet to dry snow from base to 3100'.
20` w/ wind ave. of 11 gusting to 26mph. bob Not as bad as it was whilst I was shoveling when it gusted so hard that a pair of the iced over 3-phase lines touched with a loud crack and sizzle over my head. Retreated to the top of the drive and finished later.www.apriliaforum.com

The rained on mush was yesterday. Today was heavy shit slowly covered by lighter and drier, oh, maybe 8 inches. Real surprise. Forecast was for a morning blast ending by 12-1, followed by maybe even sun. Snowed all day. I'll be out there cutting up the woods before the cube dwellers get there around lunchtime, waving goodbye to the traffic jam tomorrow night.

East MF Coast 19/20.
I’d say that map is under-reporting given my experience today. Guessing Burke @ 6”+ today and I am hopeful Jay at 12”+ thru morning hours.

After a rainy start in Bethel, I was nervous, but it was wet snow by the time I got to the parking lot. Sunday River claimed 8" today, and that sounds like a reasonable guesstimate if you had to give one number. It was really variable with elevation and in some cases wind impact or tree cover. Skiing was pretty damn good in some places and pretty interesting in others. If anyone happens to be wondering whether or not there's good reason for Hardball to have a rope up, I'd say there is. Would probably be fun skiing on someone else's skis, though.
My driveway is half cleared and the other half a cluster right now, the warmth got into the ground and as soon as I got into the unpaved stuff with the snowblower, it was a junk show; I ended up just driving the truck on top of the pile and packing it enough to park there. Given the warm ground before tonight, I'd expect that streams and large mud puddles and such could still present interesting challenges for the next day or three.

Woke up at 5:15 to continued wind attack bob, 16` w/ steady gusting wind, yard littered with sticks and chunks of snow dislodged from the trees.
Yesterdays wet snow compressed to around 2 1/2" of hard crust, easily able to walk around fully supported by it. A stomp cracked and settled it, but didn't sink in too much.
My guess, based on yesterdays snow assessment while skiing, is anything under 2000' will be set up hard. Some of the frozen tracks on natural snow trails lower mountain could be brutal.
Attention Fat Bikers, this could be the all access surface you are looking for this weekend.
Glad the driveway is shoveled, when I retreated from the arcing the nice plow guy doing the road pushed the demoralizing wall of snow at the end back that would have taken me a half hour to clear.
Always a plus to reserve a 1000' vert woods line for a couple of 11 o'clock untracked runs

Me and my buddy were the only folks at black, open throttle cream top to bottom. No pics, many forms of solid snow, no straight liquid

Lapping a foot of fresh in Brackett at the Loaf on my new Mantra 102 does not suck this morning. Now time to crush the chop. Still snowing. Nice warm up for Revelstoke next week for the wife and I.
