Glad things are coming around for Alpental! Had a great time out there last year.
Headed from NYC to Crystal this Friday, conditions should be ok Sun - Mon, I guess. ;-). Introducing my kiddos to Crystal on Sat, but once they have the lay of the lands I’m happy to keep locals company exploring new (to me) corners!

Normally head out to Crystal but I need to be back in Seattle by 1 tomorrow.
Is there a rule of thumb for what time Patrol usually gets chair 2 open with fresh snow?

I am trying to get a kitchen pass to make it out for the festivities. Somewhere in the thread I thought I saw a post telling which hotels were on the Alpy side of the pass, but I'll be damned if I can find it.
So, I'm looking at lodging and trying to figure out which motels/hotels are on the Alpy side of the pass.
The options appear to be:
Best western
Econo Lodge
Hampton Inn and Suites
Summit Inn
Thanks for the info.

Oooh flights to Seattle are cheap then. Maybe I will make it.
But Ellen kicks ass - if she had a beard it would be much more haggard. -Jer

Alpy is at the top of the pass. Hotel at the pass. Next closest is 20 miles away in North Bend. On the east side would be Cle Elum 32 miles east. Right now that would be a 1 hour drive from Cle Elum. Right now from NB to Alpy the 20 mile route on I90 is closed until noon maybe and the way around is 3 1/2 hours.
Be there or be squareA few people feel the rain. Most people just get wet.

MMMayyybe just might be able to make this work - but likely only skiing Friday.
Got an old pal in North Bend...pretty sure my score-a-spare-bed cred is intact...
Mrs. Moss will be traveling, so I'd need to finagle kiddo oversight as well...

Pondering driving west, pending a place to lay my head for a couple of days.
Since I'm so late in the game & no longer have a Mission Pass, what's the scoop on ticket deals for Thursday & Friday of the event?
