I rented an AWD compact suv and made it up from SeaTac just fine, and there was weather last year. I’d be more fearful if I had to return to Seattle in the same type of conditions without snows/chains.

For out of staters just know WSDOT is pretty happy to throw a ‘chains required except AWD’ on I-90 with suggestion of snow a’la California due to the surplus of California’s driving their Priui over the pass and sliding under semis.

I’d pay extra or burn an upgrade to rent an AWD vic. Tires will obviously still suck though.

It’s either really bad or not bad at all. And sometimes it’s seems like it won’t be bad but it is.

I vote rent something with AWD

Finally, a thread worth reading that will materialize in the real world = I'm in.
Common sense. So rare today in America it's almost like having a superpower.

Will put spookeaster up at the Knuckle Dragger Inn again. Other, like-minded sideways sliders welcome, too

You ever actually sat under that monstrous thing? Does it play music or dispense beer or do anything cool?

Hey maybe this is the year to send all the out-o-towner Ikonoclasts down to Dweebus on the Sabbath day, to repent to the high priest atop the Silver King bootpack for their Alpentalism.

I don't know. The day that comes after Saturday, where we blare nothing but the first three Black Sabbath albums while resting on the gondola

Nope, it's rare that I sit on that patio, ever, so I don't know.

I can point towards the mediocrity there, should there be any interest.

I think Robert Hunter said it best when he penned the line "I don't know, don't really care, let there be songs to fill the air."
