Do you use a powder skirt?
I assumed everyone used the powder skirt? But it sounds like many don't. Time for a poll!

It depends on the jacket and how well the skirt is designed. If it sits low and doesn't ride up if I lift my arms up for a classic swany backflip then I wear it. If it's up around my nipples every time I slap a high five it gets tucked away. If I'm wearing bibs I'm less likely to care either way.

I zip them out until I zip them in to use them. I like zip out ones and all my jackets have those. But I also have bibs and I really like zip off bibs. Is there a poll for that?

Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?
So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....
Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

I may be way out of my depth here but I don't that pic has a skirt in it at all. Instead, I think that's a dress.
For what it's worth, I wear bibs if it's really deep. I always find that the powder skirt rides up on me, prolly cuz my shitty technique has my arms flailing around so much...Brandine: Now Cletus, if I catch you with pig lipstick on your collar one more time you ain't gonna be allowed to sleep in the barn no more!
Cletus: Duly noted.

Haven't owned a jacket with a powder skirt for at least 15 years, and don't miss it. Never remembered to snap it when I found powder anyway.

I don't think I've ever owned a jacket with a powder skirt... in fact, I'm almost certain of it. What sort of jackets have these things?
I did have a NF shell that had an elastic drawcord around the waist-level, and another on the lower hem. Does that count?

It has to be on a day that is deemed worthy for the skirt. 12"+ is usually when it comes out. Otherwise, It doesnt bother me to just let it hang.

Do you use a powder skirt?
I find when skiing naked it’s a nice feature to have to cut the draft
Might not work with #futurelight though, too breathable

I always snap my skirt, it connects to my pants to help with my sag and when I want to dump heat I can unzip my jacket without it turning into a cape.
Plus when I stand over a sewer grate I can show off my camel toe.

I wear one because it's there. It snows a lot here but I have friends and customers that do cut them out.
what's orange and looks good on hippies?

rails are for trains
If I had a dollar for every time capitalism was blamed for problems caused by the government I'd be a rich fat film maker in a baseball hat.

I don't use them, but like Frank Costanza collects TV guides, I collect skirts. Hundreds if not thousands of them cluttering up the place.

I guess I'm not part of the kewl kids club. I use my powder skirt. I'm not a fan of draw cords as they tend to ride up and then sit above my ass.

I have a long wool skirt that I can ski in- altho not on powder days. all of a sudden you've gained like 20 lbs in snow weight
but I don't feel like jacket powder skirts work well for women- they always want to ride up to the true waist. which is the worst and then takes all the other layers up with it tooskid luxury
