So... 2021 we will see a new smuggler to sit in-between the Spur and Sentinel?

So, the Spur is a Trail Pistol with dentist-only builds and a noodly fork? Revolutionary!
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

Haha! SID Ultimate is the only fork option I see on the Transition site, and $5K seems like a lot for the entry level build, but that’s just one guy’s opinion.

I want to buy one just to support their snark. Also, it looks like a great balance.

All these new sporty little bikes are making me wish I could justify owning two FS bikes at once, but I just don't think I can.
So tempted though.....

If anyone wants the no-name factory direct version of a new downcountry frame.

I wonder how far off we are from just sending off our preferred geometries and suspension designs to Asia for a cheap custom frame. I know a mould is required for each triangle but most should be available. I’d love to cut out the marketing and other overhead fluff in frame prices.

650 usd plus shipping (friend paid 150 shipping to Bend)
It's an open mold design. The front end is being used by NS bikes and the full frame by some other small name euro brands.

Not bad. Not quite cheap enough for me to jump though. Food for thought
