    Bah humbug...
it's a great night to eat out. The restaurants are begging for business. My wife and I have a 7 pm reservation at a place that's really hard to get into. Turn the porch lights off before we leave for work, go straight to the restaurant after work, have a long dinner, maybe a drink somewhere in that hood after, and then home after all the tricksters have called it a night.

I don't recommend not being home on Halloween. .. That is unless you don't mind cleaning eggs out off your house anything else left unattended.

Who stuffs the pockets of their ski jacket with slices of mortadella, swiss cheese and assorted condiments from a breakfast buffet?

    He's Tuscany's problem now.

I have a hard time believing that churches are the ones pushing for the abolishment of Halloween being celebrated in schools because around here (Tahoe and down in the foothills) a lot of churches are advertising "Trunk or Treat", where the members essentially have a car show in the parking lot of the church, setting up spooky displays in the trunks of their cars and handing out candy to kids.

It's like the suburban and rural suburban version of kids trick or treatinhg at local businessess...

There is no abolishment of Halloween at schools and trunk or treat has been around forever.

This place is like a cacophony of bingo night conversations.

We leave home every Halloween and take the kids to the track housing neighborhood. More bang for the buck and all that. They decorate, doors are close together. Kids got walk too far between houses in our hood.

I’d imagine lots of families that take little kids out trick or treating leave home on Halloween.
