Yea except it sounds like UDOT is well aware of your and everyone else's plan to arrive early and are planning to close the road more often to counter your plans.

Also I suspect they will close the canyon when parking caps out like they've been doing for the past couple of seasons.

I know one thing for certain: the parking lot apres scene is gonna get wild this season!

I'd like to rely on my ability to get up canyon at 5AM too but quite frankly it's easier to make a reservation on the internet and then drive to go skiing at a more normal hour. Especially with UDOT playing an unknown factor.

If lift or parking reservations were required and I didn't get one for a particular day I wanted to ski oh well. At least I'd know and could go touring elsewhere. Instead of having to play the game every weekend and pow day from xmas through march.

I wonder how they will handle re-fills (i.e. skiers who are done for the day at 11:30, and skiers who don't arrive until 11:00-12:00)?

just keep people waiting in line all day.

some days you ski, some days you sit in traffic for 8 hours. who can say.

It's lookin like driving up the bcc parking in the otzilgarage
    And hwy2210 out
Or 9am Millie up n out the tlp trade route skinner to grizz
Is gonna be easier than driving the 210 or waiting on the waiting game

thats the funny part about so much of the criticism. most of the bitching is about situations which already happen.* they are basically announcing business as usual.... ever noticed the past few years that even on the biggest days you see an initial rush but then ski right on to the chair for the rest of the day from the time you saw the lot fill up?

*biggest difference this season being <=50% capacity on UTA busses with no increase in number of busses

The Tanner Hall movie was interesting and not what I expected. More of a lifestyle piece and less Jibby skiing. Still some of that of course and great to hang with dibs after his long day at the tent.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Headed up to Jackson to check on the new Andrew and the server closet. Glad to report that the server closet door is still open and the fan is running. Unsure about the new Andrew. No one has seen him in quite a while. Reckon he is out on the pass. Name: IMG_20201003_145042_553.jpg

Cannot wait to hear about the "pandemonium" at the park and rides, with the occasional fist fight for who should get on 'first' - jolly good show to come

WASATCH STOKE, CONDITIONS, OBSERVATIONS and ASSORTED DRIVAL 19-20

Can I get a rec? Oldest son EWGjr needs to mount some bindings in SLC. He just started at UofU. Transportation is possible but close is still better. Any good places you trust that have reasonable prices?

And he can’t mount his own damn bindings cause he is almost certainly drunk.

yeah I used to live a block from Wasatch Touring and have had a couple pairs of skis mounted there. they always did a great job, not the cheapest in town or the fastest turnaround but it’s close by and a nice shop.
