I'm thinking a ski off with mandatory shack sessions between DJ and HTFB to determine if UT or WY hosts AKB, his plant based materials and lady friends. Based on my feeble attempts to ski with both of you it should be competitive on the slopes and in the shacks.

Today was great at Snowbirt. Left the place at 7:30. Got to the birt at 9:30 (road closures, but you already know that) in the line for Gadzoom at 9:40. Lift spun around 11:20. Good turns, I guess Sierra cement to you guys? haha...Well I had fun, especially for this part-of-the-problem tourist who's coming from that place where it hasn't snowed since December.

WASATCH STOKE, CONDITIONS, OBSERVATIONS and ASSORTED DRIVAL 19-20
Fast running sluffs, but predictable and easy to manage. Actually better than I expected today.

Dshack - No worries, I figured. I rode yesterday as well, and I didn't find it to be heavy...but I get it... you guys have it good!
As far as lines, the singles were moving pretty quick and they let up eventually. Skiing solo helps.
Well, you guys got yourself a nice mountain there with Mr. Snowbirt. It was my 4th day ever riding there, all of which have been good days. The road closures and late mountain opening are totally understandable. Road sodas help. Cheers. I'll be out tomorrow morning for a few more then back to mountain biking.

Good two days had by the crew. Skied with two fun groups
one bird tram ops and a traveling pink onsie girl jamming tunes from a fanny pack
Skiing is fun and finally went blue
Sent from my iPhone using TGR ForumsI need to go to Utah.
Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?
So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....
Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

busy morning in the neighborhood... watched this headlamp drop into the chute
looked good but took the longer, more north facing shot with no regrets
so much spandex in WP this morning (no I do not ski in spandex)... 3 of them followed my trailbreak over to IB but either never caught up or were polite enough to leave me some space
clean canvas
lethargic sluffing over 35º NE, otherwise pretty quiet

Supposedly full burial yesterday at Snowbasin. Above the Needles lift, out of bounds in an area called Mudhead Cirque. Partner rescued, ski was attached and partially exposed according to source.

These guys always materialize out of thin air once the skinner is in...
Interesting weekend for snow conditions, it was lively to say the least.
mall walker-level early start led to acceptable views, alpine super G turns on perfect carpet, novelty lines of the very steep variety, and classic Wasatch exits:
Sunday was the wettest day of the season for me and things were so reactive I threw in the towel pretty quick:
The prospect of holiday weekend traffic junkshow + UR GUNNA DIE avie forecast almost kept me home. Fortunately a last-minute pitch was made for a Gobbs visit and I had to oblige. NW was freezing cold fast pow, SE was like stepping in the oven. All of it delicious, stable, and fast.

Beautiful photos. Wish I had some as good to share.
So here I sit at SLC waiting to take off. After 4 days at AltaBird, I can honestly say that I never had so much fun skiing Utah. Thanks go out to fellow mag Superstar Punani, you rip. Roland, a true pro. The Kton crew, glad I got to catch up, skiing and tailgating; no one does it better. And Ron, always a fun time skiing with you.
Powder and party. Safety meetings in the trees. Burners.

Beautiful day today, things are stabilizing nicely, winds almost non existent. Took the powsurfer out today, with the last bit of low density snow it rode very nice.
Couldn't take enough pics today, poking around Scotties and some other little bowls in the area
proper bowl lap
nice walk along a ridge
never gets old
hello resort peeps
soul good
surfing the tube
South aspects very warm/damp ...west facing may have a zipper tomorrow.

Bird was a shitton of fun today. Didn't expect much coming in yesterday w my grom and figuring I missed the storm. Good stuff doing little cloud laps then bookends laps. Not super crowded except first boxes up and mineral mid afternoon. With my current schedule / life can't ask for much more.
