I would email business@parkcity.org - they will have all the current regulations on short-term rentals

    Nice pix jmills

Get after it tomorrow and get those last turns in. I am definitely done for the season. The snow at this point is too manky for my tastes.

Wow, this thread took quite the turn.

Heres my contribution....a little stoke of the mrs from the neverending pow train in january. Got a sitter for our 1 year old this day and got super lucky on rope drops. High boy opener, then untracked line down E Greeley (pictured) and then ventured towards Keyhole because I had that feeling. We had just passed the gate when we see SSP coming over the ridge...we dropped skis, clicked in, waived hello to patrol and then skiied our brains out. Doesnt get better than hooping and hollering with your wife. Best day of the season for me.Click image for larger version.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

I don't know if my advice is welcome anymore and I realize you are newer to this ski touring thing, but try taking your skins off for the descent. Way more fun!

I own short term rentals at PCMR (Canyons), and have been told the following by the property manager:
    1) when a guest checks out, the unit cannot be entered for any reason for 72 hrs.
    2) A cleaning service can enter on the third unoccupied date.
    3) after the unit is cleaned, no one may enter the unit for 48 hrs.
Therefore, the unit is to remain unoccupied for 5 nights after a rental.
This is the policy at at least the following establishments:
    Sundial Lodge
    Grand Summit
    Waldorf.

I will contact the property manager today, and ask for something in writing.

Because of this, I am giving my properties to the property manager for the ski season. VRBO/AirBnB will just get too confusing. I think that many properties will go the way of Yurp (i.e. weekly rentals....Sat to Sat).
Today, I will also call the Summit County Health Dept. to confirm this info.
If this is indeed county-wide policy, occupancy will be reduced by more than 50%

Bet Vail is loving that....lol....well it should mean for empty slopes for locals if things get back to "normal" enough.

Well I'm going to publicly apologize to you. I took things the wrong way and got pretty fired up. Apologies.

    Carry on with the stoke.

Edit: I am embarrassed by my behavior, fired up or not. I was not raised to behave this way.

That is correct as I understand it. I converted a property that I was renting short-term to an annual rental because of the new regulations. Might be less attractive for you to rent annually at Sundial versus my situation, but something you might want to look into.

Just to update my latest post, I have been informed (incorrectly, I think) that Summit County is currently in "Green", and while there are no current directives regarding delays, or pauses in occupancy, and next day occupancy is permitted, there are guidelines regarding how a unit is cleaned.
Funny, because the same person who gave me the previous post advice is the same person who gave me this information.

The incompetence of some is noted.

I sent an email to Business@ParkCity.org and here is the response I received this morning:

Greetings- there are no current restrictions in place for nightly rentals, but there is a mask requirement in Summit County.

Thanks for posting. I believe at one point the kind of restrictions that schindlerpiste was quoting were in place. But good for people to know there are no current restrictions.

So whats the back story about the LCC gondola & parking garage near La Caille. Can't imagine that neighbors are going to be happy.
